LOl, FDL stands for Fleur-de-lis. Which Freddy did a representation of for me. I got the idea after seeing Blu's Iris he made for her. I'm hoping that I can wave it at the TV and get the Saints off of their butts and actually play some football, lol.

I like the big box mods as well, though I have to admit my favorite Woody is Arlo, my mini-Monkeyboxx.

Oh! The fleur de lis! I see that now. Tres bien! I hope it has some magical powers for you....

I don't yet have a monkey boxx. Maybe I'll make that my next acquisition, based on your recommendation...so, you have all your mods named? Now, are you one of those that names your body parts too? This may become a working diagnosis, so answer carefully :)

LMAO! No, I don't name my body parts! As far as my mods go, only my woody's have names; the tubes are too impersonal. You've already met Wilson and Arlo, both named after Woody Guthrie indirectly (he legal name was Woodrow Wilson Guthrie; his son of course was Arlo). There's also Robert, my VV Bogger currently out for repairs. I haven't come with a name for my Reo grand yet; nothing's come to me as yet.

Here it is on a Phiniac tank, on my BP.

I think I like the look of this. I'm considering getting a sand-blasted Phiniac tank w/ss caps, and getting purple frost detailing. It would have to be a custom job, as none of the current designs really speak to me with this tip. Any thoughts?

A flier de lis? French coat of arm? A guillotine?.....

Actually, I'm considering a fleur-de-lis. Though I'm thinking more of something more in keeping with a Mardi Gras theme. Maybe masks of some sort? Something like this?

I like it!

On an unrelated note, can you kick a bogger box? I've got a standard 3.7v box mod (wilson) that takes a 18650 battery.

I don't know....maybe one of our resident experts can weight in :)

Well, I'm signing off for now. Don't want to leave another conversation dangling.....

Good afternoon Trippy Nation,

Bert,
I couldn't be happier than to have made your day or night for a change. Did you wrap the coil directly to the wick or do you put the allen wrench between the 2 legs to maintain some wiggle room. I'm thinking that maybe the source of my overly loose coil is not wrapping directly to the wick. The allen wrench insertion was suggested by Matthew but I think it's only required prior to understanding the tension limit to keep from choking the wicking action. Either way "Vape On My Friend" :vapor: Brew

Cyclin and fellow ERA users,
Okay so I fiddled with this most of the evening and finally succeeded in determining how the single design was done. However after manipulating the coil a dozen different ways, I loosen the coil to wick fit enough that I wasn't getting much flavor. So I pulled it and went back to the folded/Figure-8 and all is good. However, I will try again to see if this will work out with the proper tension. Here are some pics going through the process so that maybe another one of us will master this technique.

Here's a side view showing how to allow the loop to go behind the coil

You can already see this got too loose

From in front and my coild wraps are really sloppy

Everything tightened up and trimmed except the wire.
The coil ended up being 2Ω on the nose

To all of you creative Parents,
I've gotten caught up with all of the conversation from last evening/morning and have to think in some way I missed out big time on being a Dad but on other levels the Mrs. & I have been blessed to only have had each other's attitude moments to deal with. The thought of my wife dressed in a robe, bunny slippers and curlers in her hair would have made for a viral youtube video. I could just see throngs of parent's cheering her on for having that kind of determination to get their child to do the right thing.
My father used the, at that time unknown to me, Bill Cosby line of "I kill ya and make another one look just like ya and nobody will ever know the difference". I completely believed him until I moved out of the house a year before college.
Coming from a family that ran a stone business and watching the drag-lines and power-shovels at work, I knew he was technologically capable of doing exactly what he said. During the Korean War/Conflict my Dad guarded a vault for the Intelligence section of the Army and he didn't need a weapon to take out a human being. So needless to say I never acted up until I went to college and was no longer under his sphere of influence.
My Dad was so well know in our home town that he would know if I even got a speeding ticket before I got home. He once told me that I was no longer allowed to leave our little town of Carmel. Well months afterward, I had a friend ask me to drive his cousin back to his house in Nora not 1/2 mile past the boarder of Carmel. I had a very disctintive 70's-vintage Ford Pinto (what I could afford at the time) and on the way to take this guy home, I got pulled over not a block over the border between the two towns. When the cop walked up to the car he said " Are you D_ck Brewer's son? I looked at him a bit bewildered and said well yes I am and he said to get my .... back into Carmel cause I had already been told I wasn't allowed to leave the city limits. My buddy's cousin got out and hoofed it the final few blocks to home and I headed back to get an earful from Dad when I got home. :rules:
When your family runs one of the biggest businesses in town and you provide the police department with acerage for training and a shooting range, you could kinda call the shots back in the 60s & 70s. Hell the cops more than once chauffeured my Dad to our house in his own car followed by another cop in a cruiser cause he had too much to drink and they carried him all the way upstairs and sat him on the bed. Was a much kinder world back in the day for parent's and kids well knew their place. Brew

The first time my daughter slammed her door we told her next time it was coming off the hinges. About a hour later she slammed it again. Her dad took it off...this went on and off for 2 years. She didn't have a door for a whole year once. For her the first time she really tried me was in 5 th grade. She refused to go to school soooooooo I dressed in a old robe, bunny slippers, and hair curlers everyday and took her to school and sat in class with her all day. Anytime the teacher asked who knew the answer I would say Emma did. She never refused to go to school again. Then when she turned 13 that is when she started with the door....let me think..oh and once I asked her to put away her clothes that I had just washed for her she was 14 and she told me heck no I could do it if I wanted them done. So I went into her room pulled out all of her clothes including the clean ones and threw them in the yard. She not only had to get them, but she had to wash and out them away. I never washed her clothes after that. Then the glorious battle in her 16 th year...She was upset one day, and said she wanted to go to a foster home. That day when she came home...everything was out of her room and all she had was a bed 2 changes of clothes, and a pair of tennis shoes. She looked at me and wanted to know what was up..I said well my dear welcome to foster care. She had to earn everything back that year. I know I sound horrible, but she didn't do drugs, she graduated, and is getting her degree...in what we still don't know, but I have to give her credit for trying.

I wrapped it over bamboo with a small screwdriver I have for electronics. Bamboo tends to REALLY "puff" up on me so the little bit of extra wiggle room is a good idea.
