Ok, sterling silver marble stand for my new Bert marble is finished! Now this, I think should get the trippy stamp of approval. Lol!

Very nice work! I love silver -- almost all of my jewelry is silver, and man, when I shine it up with mother's polish one could almost use it for a mirror. You are really talented Amber... have you thought about branching out into jewelry? Little orbs encased in silver filigree?

I've been good today. Decided to take a lazy day too, haven't even changed from my pjs!

On the jewelry thing, that's where I'm classically trained. Doesn't make much money in Oklahoma though. People here are all about Walmart. :( so I just make things for myself.

Good evening Trippy Tipsters
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Saturday.

I just finished catching up after a busy day. I saw Pietro's post on the REOmizer and I spent a lot of time checking them out. I think the world of Rob (Father REO) and I appreciate that he has gone to the trouble to provide a very nice inexpensive rba for folks to use on his REOs. They are simple and should be easier for most folks getting started in RBAs. However for me it's going to be the ERA or Hornets and it really comes down to a two small things. I want an RBA with solid stainless steel construction and the screw-on cap keeps it from working with an ERA Trippy top cap if we ever convince Bert to do one. The Hornet will fit the REO mini with a slightly modded top cap so that too is a major benefit for two of my REOs (Mini 1.0 14500 and Mini 2.0 18490)

However what I like about the REOmizer is that a vertical wick setup might work really well since the juice feed is in the center of the base. Now I'm not saying the ERA is necessarily worth the price differential but I'm just liking the ERA with my (or more correctly Cyclin's) minimalistic looped coil design. The ERA juice well is also pitched/conical versus flat and the feed being on the center post does not require a lot of wick.

Mike Cline at the IVS asked me what I thought and I told him the truth. Lots of folks are going to go with the REOmizer but I still think there's a market for a Chevy Camaro as well as a Chevy Cruze. However at $150 the MarkBugs Chalice may just be the Mercedes that folks buy soley for braggin rights. I cannot see the $110 dollars worth of difference when a nice working bottom-fed RBA can be had for $38. Brew

wwwwaaaaaaaaassssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppp!!! with you Brew:D

Evening Tripsters just doing a catch up fjy by good night yall:closedeyes:

BTW Rob (maker of our beloved Reo's) Has the Reomizer for sale its a Chinese RBA which he modded for bottom feeders there's a thread with all the info in the Reo sub forum and 2 key points they're cheap $38 and the posts are farther apart then most (1 on each side instead of 1 in the middle and 1 on the edge it fits the catch cups of the Grand, VVG, VVW, woodvil, and 18490 woodvil and of course it will fit the Ignis:D and shipping is really cheap and fast $2 just a FYI:)

Hello everyone! We just had a get together/bbq to celebrate Brian's life and socialize in his honor!

I got black emerald love today too :D

I think that's black emerald (?)

The downside of buying at vendors -- no Trippy names!

It might be a black emerald, but the blue hues make me think it is most likely a Cosmic Ocean. It's hard to tell without holding it in my hand. When you hold it up to the light is it a deep green?

I agree 100% my friend I did purchase a Reomizer mainly to support my buddy Robs efforts and secondly for a back up and also to see how many coils I can pack between the post evening tripsters

Glad you made it home safely Bert

I'm all caught up and heading to bed  good night Trippy Nation:D
