Hash Browns... Awesome !!!

If I cook them, they sometimes end up too greasy. If I let the waffle maker do it they come out perfect. I also make grilled cheese sandwiches and scrambled eggs and bacon in there. I just wish I had bought one of those fancy waffle makers with removable plates for easier cleaning.

Hey Tripsters! Long time no see y'all. Tonight, disaster struck. I had my first trippy fail. I picked up a mod, and Sunshine wasn't there. Well actually, the bottom was. Crap. Ain't no Sunshine when she's gone. Found her in the car. It's a pretty clean break. PMing Bert to make arrangements for surgery.

Sounds fixable! How scary though!! Glad you found her :)

Bert these are just great!! Must have one in my best Zombie voice lol..Vintage be proud of your Tats:)....they are just your warrior marks:). I go tomorrow for my Octreotide...had my PET scan..so we should know more in a week or so. Gosh just noticed the time lol...today I go. Happy Late Birthday KJ!! Ok guys catcha later today:)...night Trippykins..

I have no clue what Octreotide is, but I hope it goes well!

anybody ever hear of leaving feedback on paypal? something about they wont release the money til you do or you have to wait 20 days? never heard of this before

I've never heard of that. I didn't even know there was a feedback thing for paypal.

When I was a kid my dad would make Fraffles and we loved them. He would take french toast and put it in the waffle maker.... Yum :)

I'm heading to the coast this weekend to watch the '9ers with my dad, gunna make Fraffles, i don't think he's had them in years.

sounds good! may have to try that too

Never heard that before unless it means they need for you to let them know that it has arrived...then you have to wait 3 days after that...believe me it's crazy!!

Mornin all. Hope y'all are having a great AM.
I don't have a waffle-maker, but I do have my Griddler, which is like a George Foreman on steroids, lol. It's got reversible plates: one side's a grill and one side's a griddle. I've been using it mostly for making grilled cheese, Cubanos, eggs and bacon, etc. May have to break down and get the waffle plates; I can just imagine the brownies, lol.
Good luck Amie.

Aw....I'm a little bummed that nobody zombified themselves. I was looking forward to seeing everybody as their zombie selves!

So, I'm at war with my minxy. The 16340's are all a little long and push against the mod. This creates enough space that the door falls off. I tried getting shorter batteries by getting flat tops, but they are too short and don't make contact. Someone mentioned using magnetic spacers, but they all look too thick. A washer might work, but I'm not sure that's safe.

I had mentioned this to Mamu when I was asking her about fixing the cracks, and she suggested taping the door. I'm not really happy with that solution, it seems tacky (puny). My other thought is to put a magnet in the door at the top to hold it in place. It will have to be recessed, which mean drilling into the mod somehow. Any suggestions from you crafty types here?

The other thing I tried yesterday, was to flatten out the contacts for the batteries a little, but all this accomplished was to leave marks in the wood, even though I was careful to pad the tool with cloth. It's not a big deal. I can sand down a couple of the spots and restain them. There's now a very small dent on the outside, which bothers my perfectionist self.

One worry I have about the solution of adding a magnet to keep the door on, is that the strain on the wood from the pressure of the batteries will eventually put more cracks in it. The grain of the wood is such that it is in the same direction as the force of the pull.

I'm sad about my beloved Minxy and how to fix her.
