Brew, I don't think I can be of much help to you, but I can try. The only rba I used on a Reo was the A7, it was cheap, easy and it worked well. For RBAs in general, your performance will be similar with any RBAs using the same building materials (silica/mesh/whatever). In my experience, some flavors work better in each type (or even in normal cartos or attys) than in others, so for me there is no one "best flavor" setup. I wanted to trim down my supply of hardware at one time, but I couldn't find anything that was the best choice for all of my juices, so to this day I still use a wide variety. YMMV, of course, wish I could give you something more concrete.

Are there Genesis style atties that might offer a better solution to my search using the Provari as a base?
You can always use mesh instead of silica in one of your existing RBAs for dripping, maybe for bottom-feeding as well. That would be a good way to test-drive the genisis flavor without any up front financial investment. so no need to get a dedicated genisis atty for that purpose, I'm not even sure if there are any readily available dripping ones, most are tank setups

Crap, going back and reading that I'm not even sure if I gave you anything useful

Brew,
Before you go searching for greener grass I would agree with KJ and say try different wicking materials in the RBAs you already have. I was very happy with a dual coil setup in my A7 with stainless wick for example. I set it up as 2 verticle coils with the SS Mesh instead of 1 horizontle silica wick.I am going to take a stab and say that a similar setup would be possible with the ERA although I haven't tried it. If you like those setups at all then the SS Mesh will be easily replaceable with the glass wicks when they are ready.

Morning Tipsters, Sun shinning Downunder, dogs asleep beside me, cup of tea and vaping. Way to go. My day off and I need it, I am on some new medication and I need to be close to the toilet, well enough said about that.
Sorry Brew I am one of these terrible people that have no idea about rebuildables. I am hopeless unless it's easy like Vivi Nova and Phid tanks.
Bert love the new tips.

Hey Damselle,
I am not sure what you are trying to print since I've never used that program before, but the PrtSc button on your keyboard will allow you to take a picture of what is on the screen at any given time, and you could always print that...

Good Morning TrippyTips collectors!
for some reason my print screen button doesn't work or is there another button you have to push at the same time?

On FB there has been a discussion on how to keep your wire for rebuildable's from going everywhere and someone thought of a fly fishing bobbin. Seems like a great idea. So I googled how to make one and came up with this vid . Thought I would pass the idea along.

great idea thanks Hz and Bert:D

Hey all you RBA/ihybrid/Gennie lovers!
Well it seems I have a dilemma that I hope one or several of my TrippyKin can help out with regarding RBAs or perhaps Hybrids. I've been a REO guy for 2 of my 2.5 years vaping but I continue to be searching for the flavor I want. The HH.357 was from time to time close but it was very inconsistent. I also couldn't tolerate the price. I have since purchased a couple ERAs and Hornets but find those to be leaky and I'm also debating how well they REALLY work without regulated power. My REO 3.7V PVs with ERAs/Hornets are hit-n-miss in the flavor department. I also have to wrap them with different wire and less wraps to get a satisfying vape when compared to my regulated VV REO Grand. On the VV Grand, the ERA is nigh perfect and I find the coil and wicks to last for every bit of a month. The 3.7V setups might last a week or two tops and flavor drops of fairly quickly (~ 1 week). I'm using 32AWG or 30AWG Kanthal A-1 with 2mm or 3mm silica wick. I'm fairly certain that my wrapping skills are adequate and all of my wicks and coils are setup identically except for the resistance factor. The flavor and vapor on the regulated mods is what I'm trying to replicate in my "go to" 3.7V devices but I'm considering other RBAs or platforms for my "go to" option. I really haven't wanted to go with a VV Grand for out and about in that my days away from the house often go 10-12 hours and I'd prefer not to change battery pairs until I get back home. I do carry a spare 18650 battery and a 510 atty for the Grand everywhere it goes. A REO mini 14500 also accompanies for total Grand loss or meltdown. But the VV Grand is not a small mod and these days the vaping environment around Indy is getting more and more restrictive. Stealthy size and appearence is important but vape time is still an issue. The Code Enforcement Nazis are scaring the pub, club and restaurateurs to make vapers go outside. A Mini REO 2.0 (18500) with regulated wattage or voltage might be the ideal platform but the ERA/Hornet still leaks due to the cap air hole and I also question if the RBA on any REO is the best flavor one can have in ANY platform?

So I have the following questions to resolve and trust the folks here with having a good amount of experience and trustworthy advise:

• Is there a better REO-compatible RBA out there regardless of price high (e.g. MB Chalice) or low (e.g. A7/Surface)?

• Has anyone who has tried the REO with an RBA also using a Genesis or iHybrid that feels the flavor is worlds better that the REO/RBA or HH.357 ideal operation? I really like the idea of Bert's capillary glass feed rods and wonder if that might be a much healthier alternative to Kanthal and silica.

• I am contemplating getting a Provari mini as a platform for using a top-fed Hornet with a staionary coil and easily-replaceable wick setup to serve as a e-liquid test tasting solution. Are there Genesis style atties that might offer a better solution to my search using the Provari as a base?

• I'm very sensitive to carto-induced taste so atty tanks are not going to be my thing. I really can't stand anything but Silica in my RBAs because of dulling flavor and poly/cotton fill taste. Are there any atty tanks that might make a better alternative.

So any advice offered will be greatly appreciated. I typically change flavors 3 - 4 times a day so multiple devices have always been my solution( i.e. Lazy). Coffees in the AM with my coffee, fruity sweet vapes through the day and cocktail flavored e-liquids at night like Mojitos or other tropical cocktails (e.g. Planters Punch, Hurricane, Rum Runner, etc). I would go to the respective forums for any of these devices but most are filled with fanboys and girls who don't look at technologies with a objective eye. I find the folks here do so I apologize in advance if I'm spamming this thread with non Trippy posts. On that note, the device would have to be Trippy-frienndly or that too would likely take it out of contention. Thanks in advance for all your help. Brew

Brew waaaaaaasssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppp!!!!!!!!!!:toast:
So I guess I could be considered a Reo Fanman but I think I'm pretty obective at the same time so I'm gonna try and answer your ?'s as such:) For starters the only time I get leakage from my ERA's or Hornet is if I over squonk I have a few white tank tops with juice stains on them from this issue since I like to lay whatever Reo with ERA on my chest while in bed surfing the forum or watching TV but recently I have come up with a solution that seems to be working 1 I try really hard not to over squonk and the other is I have the tail of my wick blocking my air hole which is 1/16" so doesn't seem to effect the draw very much but no leaks so far ***knocks on woodvil*** There is another factor that I believe KJ addressed in which certain juices can't handle the heat as some can before dropping off some of the flavor and if your running 3 different juices thru the same RBA at same ohm it may be tough to get the perfect vape out of them all IMO. I only run silica 3mm cuz its easy and pretty much idiot proof. My ERA's give for me on my VV Reo give the best vape and flav YMMV:) You might prefer the Surface or A7 since they don't have the side hole. As for stealthy and on the go Rob is coming out with the Mini2.1 which will have the bigger catch cup to allow use of all BF RBA's available also the ERA team has come out with an ERA tank and last but not least when I get a great coil wick setup and the flavor drops off I just take it off my Reo and run it under water then dry burn it and flick the burn crap off with a toothpick or mini screwdriver rejuice and go:vapor::vapor::vapor: just my :2c: VAPE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!

Sorry, I have missed this whole entire conversation but print screen will copy your screen to clipboard. Open up paint or something and hit Ctrl+V to paste it in. You should then be able to print that

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Well today I added a new member to my family. His name is "Tripp" and he is a 9 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. So I will be spending a lot of time training him. Next month I'm gonna put him in Obedience Class and gradually move him into Agility around 4 months. Tripp is such a sweet baby and I am excited to have him and this new adventure for us to share.

Happy Birthday Sash!
