Yes, it is an odd title. The brands mentioned are njoy or various E9 models. Anyone know the organization Tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association (TVECA)? Never heard of them.

Also they are claiming that the Smoker Friendly ecig, which is almost assuredly an E9 model, is manufactured in the US!

The e-Cig electronic cigarette from Smoker Friendly International  :glare:

"For Smoker Friendly, “Made in America” means that all of its unit components and vapor liquids are produced in this country, said Curtis Farkas, director of national sales for the Boulder, Colo.-based company that was launched about three years ago by the long-time owners of more than 20 Gasamat c-stores in the Rocky Mountain region.

Farkas said he believed that, as of the writing of this article, Smoker Friendly was the only brand that could legitimately make this claim."

So then there is someone in the US making auto ecig batteries?? I find this hard to believe. But the tenor is a strong encouragement to convenience stores to carry ecigs, and that is a good thing. Our 7-11 and Wawa stores do carry a few of these brands, and I'm told they are selling well. Not as well as analogs, of course, but getting more ecigs into convenient availability is a good thing, although I'm not sure how many actually stick with these for long.

They are trying, somewhat successfully, to position themselves as the voice of vaping.
And they have already demonstrated a willingness to throw us all under the bus.

They have publicly come out against mods, that much I know for sure.
And I am pretty sure they are prepared to work with the FDA in order to gain a position of strength.

Basically, it seems that they intend to promote mini-cigarettes with no flavors in tamper-proof cartridges.
That's the business model that suits them, and will probably satisfy the FDA, while screwing all of us.

I hate TVECA and hope they crumble up and blow away.

From SmokerFriendly's website under "Become a Retailer" --

Advantages of the Smoker Friendly E-Cigarette:

The only e-Cig assembled, tested and packaged in the USA

Not produced in USA -- Mr. Farkas is incorrect.
