What do you do with the mods like Egos, isticks, etc., where the batteries don't come out?
Discharge them until they cut off and won't fire. THEN put them in the battery recycling bin at your nearest facility.

They don't just have bare poles that can be shorted as easily.

Or if you're more technically inclined remove and prep the battery itself accordingly.

I kinda remember back in my RC days, some 20 years ago, that we would solder up a string of 12v bulbs to discharge our batteries. The chargers they use now probably does that as probably part of the recharging process. So maybe a string of lights for our 3.7v batts might be a simple solution for fully discharging our batts.

Why not just heap them up with your empty aerosol cans and bleach containers and have a nice bonfire in the garden? Invite some kids round to warm their hands?

Sounds like a good idea. Add some old CRT monitors to it too :D

Don`t forget the appropriate accelerent (gasl), a good starter (fire arm), and depending on your location, the appropriate papers, certs, or other forms of government extortion.
