Couple questions about CE2-Xs.
1. I dry burned one and now it tastes horrible. Any ideas to fix this? Thinking a long long soak in mouth wash followed with some mint flavor vaped through it (so I don't taste the mouth wash while it's wearing away) This was my typical attie cleaning method, but I'd seen youtube vids of these being dry burned until no smoke coming off. I have 30 of these so killing one doesn't peeve me too much.
2. I could NOT get one to wick properly until I removed the main fill plug. Now vaping on it without it, just the second, top, O-Ring type plug. 20 minutes since my last dry hit and I'm surprised to say it's not leaking. Thinking I need to mod the fill plug to cut away some of the area around the wick openings. Good idea, or just go without it completely? My brother's been complaining of a wicking problem in one of his, too, though I don't know what his juice is (PG vs VG) but all of mine are 100% VG.

Well Dirgon, I can honestly say i have like you probably about 20-30 of these. I always keep 5 in rotation and I dry burn excessivly once a day or so and never had that problem.
What I do is take a small dish, hold the ce2 by the base, fill the dish with water and swish the ce2 around vigeriously. Then I dry burn, after that I swish again *to get off excess ash* and dry burn til its glowing bright BRIGHT orange.
Now for the wicking, yes unfortunately its a known issue. From what I know, when the machines that put the ce2's together press the main fill plug in, it sometimes presses it so hard it flattens the wick allowing no room for the liquid to flow up to the coil. What I do is take out the plug, and use a razor blade edge and cut the opening at least twice the width and a little bight higher. Cutting the width large allows juice to flow more freely to the coil wick....Just look at it, use the razor and follow the same hole shape maybe 1cm more than what is already removed. I also sometimes go without it but only if you have two of those O rings. If you have 2 o rings thats great, use one and put it in normal where one side flat is DOWN and the curved side is up...then put a 2nd o ring in opposite, curved side down and flat side up. Doing that creates a small reservoir to hold excess juice as not to get a mouthfull

Thanks Krispers. I dry burned the HELL out of this thing, dunked it in water, dry burned some more, dunk, dry burn, dunk. Wick is all white, though the white edges around the cup turned a bit black and that wont' come off.
Popped a tube over it, dripped a couple drops on the coil and vaped, tastes great for now. I'll fill it and see how it goes.
Edit: I had tried the making the little wick grooves bigger on the main fill plug right after posting my question. Seems to be working fine so far, emptied a clearo without an unexpected dry hit. (By that, I mean, I got a few as it was getting lower, but I've come to expect those, turn it over and you're back in business)

you may wish to also fray the edges of the fat wicks, just take the ends of the wick and rub it between your finger ever so slightly. By fraying the edges, it gives the wick more surface area to soak more and may improve your dry spots. As for the black around the cup...I have that on all of mine haha I never worry about it much. I have scrapped it with a safety pin and some comes off but its not something I worry about personally

After reading 390 pages of the "grand opening" thread I still can't stop thinking that your avatar pic makes you look like Ricky from the Canadian TV show "Trailer Park Boys". Anyone ever tell you that. You familiar with the show? One of the funniest shows on TV. I've seen you in video and you don't look like him, but the avatar pic does. You need a black & white herringbone bowling shirt, LOL...

I have never got that, never heard of the show either. I have gotten Turtle from umm entourage while i was at a 311/offspring concert....was begged to take pictures and such..i dont see it but i got free margaritas so I never gonna pass that up.,....... but i have a black n white bowling shirt, I have MANY tony soprano style shirts

Or better watch their first movie. It should be on Netflix. Reading you're comments in the gotvapes forum I know you would like the show. I have both their movies and the entire series on DVD. I love that show. The main characters are now on tour doing a show. I have tickets for it when they come to Boulder. I live 20 miles away.
