As many of us are storing litres of 100mg/ml of nic in pg/vg or both.
I'd really like a chart or calculator that can be used to workout how much we need to buy.
If I vape 10ml per day of 10mg/ml of unflavored juice, how long would a litre of 100mg last?
And will work out any combination of mg/ml nic.
Is anything available besides my windows calculator?

It would last you a little under 3 years. I not aware of anything currently, but I will see what I can find.

Here's how I do it:

1) Multiply your daily ml times the mg/ml - that's how many mg of nic you use per day

2) Multiply your nic stock ml times it's mg/ml - that's your available mg of nic

3) Divide your available nic from 2 above by your daily use from 1 above.

In this particular case:
1) 10ml x 10mg/ml = 100mg/day
2) 1000ml x 100mg/ml = 100000mg nic
3) 100000/100 = 1000 days

Hope that helps!

Thanks for your help 440BB and the vapin chemist...
I used the example of 10ml of 10mg nic for simplicity.
As I vape 15ml of 6mg/nic per day I can extrapolate from your examples.
I know steam engine has a page for juice calculations, but not for what I want.
Some of us are better than others for doing these calculations.
Over the last 3 or 4 years I've bought 6 litres and still have over 5 litres left in the freezer, it should last me a while.

Disley and for others wanting to know how much nicotine they need per year. I built a calculator for that purpose this morning for y'all. You can find the excel file to download at this link: RTS Vapes Nicotine Use Calculator

Check it out and let me know if you have any feedback. There are comments in the input cells that tell you want to put it.

Works, a little tricky on my android to modify the field, but easy to use.

I get a slightly different result when using 365 days instead of breaking it down weekly. I used 12mg @ 15 ml a day. 12*15 still = to 180mg daily.
180x365=65,700 /100mg =657. I used day per yr to account for the odd 31 days in calendar months.
Like I said not much difference, but you said to let you know.

:)

Is the nicotine in eliquid freebase?

It is so nice to have the vapin chemist here. :D
Thanks Woofer!

The answer is yes, but most likely not all of it is. I suspect that some of the nicotine will be protonated by the flavors. Probably a negligible amount, but worth mentioning.

Thanks for pointing that out Sugar and Spice. I didn't think about the fact you come up a day short doing it by weeks. I'll fix it tomorrow when I get to the office. :)

My new word for today - protonate!

I plan to store those for a few years or more, and saw that one supplier is adding ascorbic acid to nic claiming it ......s oxidation.
I know you may not wanna, but would you mind sharing who is doing this? It's not dissing them, just letting us know so we can be aware of what is in the nic we buy. If you don't wanna say here, would you please pm me?

I love this!! At first I couldn't manipulate the field, but tried again and it worked. It opened for me in MS excel. Now my answer was 349 ml/year. So I divide 1000 by 349 to see how many years a liter will last right? Sorry, but I really am a math idiot. Would you mind adding that field since probably most buy in liters Thank you so much for doing this. Will wait for an update or two then wanna spread the word about it!!!

:w00t: here is it's sibling, for tomorrow.

Deprotonation is the removal (transfer) of a proton (a hydrogen cation, H+) from a Brønsted-Lowry acid in an acid-base reaction. The species formed is the conjugate base of that acid. The complementary process, when a proton is added (transferred) to a Brønsted-Lowry base, is protonation.

:D
