Yes but it was huge! Half of it is still left. Wish I could share with you guys.
I took a little home, but I've gained weight since quitting smoking so I've been on a diet all week.
It was so nice of them. I shed a tear. Really touched my heart. Thank God for vaping. There's no way I could do this without it. And having this forum is such a help too.

That was a really lovely gesture.

Done? She's not even gotten around to starting. And, it's not even a paper, it's just two short essay questions. Sheesh.
Oh man. I remember those days. I remember my son came to me after he got off the bus and told me he had a project due the next morning. Building a kite. Yes, building a kite! And guess what. It had to fly! I couldn't believe it. So, we rushed off to the hardware store and bought all the supplies. Worked on it until 9 pm and then the only thing left was to make a tail for it, decorate it, and then see if it would fly. I told him to go to bed and I made the tail. I was out in the dark, in the cold running up and down the driveway trying to get that thing to fly! Finally I made the adjustments.....but...here's the good part. I made the tail as girly as I could, with pink bows. And decorated the kite with hearts. lol!! The next morning I drove him to school and he asked where the kite was. You should have seen his face when I handed it to him!!! The look of horror! I told him next time he would need to do all his projects. lol
By the way. He got an A. I still laugh about that. What a mean mom I was.

Ok, I'm going to start next week too. Not smoking has added a few extra pounds I do not want.
Fit-bits are pretty cool.

I ment to respond to this earlier. I love my Fitbits.

After I did my workout this morning, I had an email from Fitbit saying that I had earned my "Japan Badge" :w00t: ... and I quote..

"As if we weren't already blown away by your lifetime achievements, you've stepped it up to walk 1,869 miles—the full length of Japan. It may not be a stamp in the passport, but your travels added another badge to your collection!"

:thumb:

I retired a couple of years ago and quickly started gaining weight and not in a good way, so I started working out. I still couldn't lose all the weight I wanted until I started dieting too. I think I'm getting old. When I was younger, I could eat almost anything I wanted to... those days are certainly gone. :nah:...

I was still sitting around too much after my workout. That's when I got my first Fitbit. I use it to motivate me to keep moving throughout the day. I have made getting and keeping myself in shape my new job.

It's had some pretty big benefits. I think I'm in better overall shape, with better posture, than when I was in my 40s. The biggest plus was finding some aches and pains that I've lived with for 10 to 20 years have disappeared.

Japan? Wow!

My son lost 55 pounds just from walking more & eating slightly less. Maybe that's why I've actually lost a few pounds since I started vaping. It's easier for me to keep up with him now, and we usually walk anyplace that's under 3-4 miles.

That's so great! :w00t:

I really think that the simple act of walking is a kind of wonder drug. Besides at my age if I don't keep moving I rust.

I lost a bit over 30 lbs by quitting smoking and taking up vaping.

That's great (as long as you wanted and needed to lose 30 lbs). I'm curious. I can understand how taking up vaping when you quit smoking could help keep you from gaining weight. How do you think it helped you to lose weight?

I like sweet and desert/custardy types of vape and they cut down my craving for sweets and such. Little Debbie had to lay off workers when I started vaping.
When I first started vaping I loved the Papa Smurf and English toffee juice. So I didn't gain any weight for a while. Now that I stopped smoking, I just vape WTA Sahara and other cigarette flavors to keep me from grabbing a real cigarette.
I just ordered a new apv so I think I will add the papa smurf to it and see what happens. Ugh. It really is harder to keep the weight down as you age. But, worth it. I never had to worry about my weight before.
