You guys are so sweet! Thanks for caring!
:) It's just scary sometimes living out here all by myself.

It's scary sometimes living around people, too. I remember the first time I took my son for a walk outside our home (he was ~12 mo-old), and we ended up in in the line of fire of a drive-by shooting.

I had a window unit in my bedroom. Like to get it cold in my room before getting under the covers. I turned it on 2 weeks ago, and all it did was hum. Well, it had lasted for many years and was looking gross anyway, so I got another one, well............after pushing the old one out.......I got a not so little surprise.

He just kept coming out. I have NO idea how he fit! But I'm glad he didn't come out in my room and get in bed with me. lol
That's an air conditioner. I haven't used my air conditioners in about 20 years, since I like being warm, and now I've added a Legionaire Disease phobia to my avoidence of using them.

Last I was using my bedroom A/C, I had a recurring sparrow nest between it and the window frame. First time I discovered it when there were already babies, so I had to wait 'til they were grown and gone. Next couple times I got rid of the nest before any eggs.

OK, those are some reasons I'm glad that I live in MN. I haven't even seen so much as a garter snake for years. We don't have leprosy-carrying armadillos, either.

(Sorry, just trying to rationalize why I live in a state that regularly gets to -40 and has five-month winters).

You seem like an effete southerner from my point of view.:D But I really do like living in the middle of nowhere out here. And you can always put more layers of clothes on when it's cold, but there are limits on how much you can take off when it's hot.

Around here in the sticks where I live people just shoot family members and estranged spouses/dating partners.
In the big city now they shoot strangers.

awww that feels much better -- I sure missed my little friend and constant companion.
You know why she is not here, right???? You know she is going to do that 'clown' thing again. YOU are the one that's on probation now, devil dude.
