Hey Brother, glad you started this Asperger vaping thread for "our kind" and for anyone else who wants to join on in. :)

Not especially -- but my bottles of Xanax do :w00t: --- I suppose it helps, as it's like smoking was for me (sort of)
That's the first thing I do upon waking --- take the biggest toke I can (actually about 10 of them)

It's a crutch :)

This aspie wishes I wouldn't block everything and everyone out when I am concentrating on something :( Another thing that bugs me is that I change interests/subjects too often. I may be into a programming language for a year or so and rather than design something with it I will switch to another programming language and start learning it. I haven't counted but I think I have learned around 15 to 20 programming languages. The problem with all of that is I am so busy switching languages and learning that I never get much actual software written lol ... Oh I have created a few little desktop applications but certainly nothing for bragging rights. But I am this way with every interest/subject and not just programming.

Okay, who's next to spill their guts??
I'm the same way. Changing interests, etc. I write sql and SSRS reports all day at work and it's difficult to concentrate. I have to have nic gum(not allowed to vape on property), and headphones - listening to white noise. Look forward to my lunch breaks to vape my head off. lol

I spent a day last week using nothing but a Vivi Nova. It wasn't that bad. I was happy to go back to my Kayfun v4 though. :)

LOL, I just discovered I had the airflow ring between settings. Still a tight draw, but much better.

I found an article in "Medical New Today," on the link between Autism & nicotine addition. Apparently, "previous research has shown that people with autism have a shortage of these nicotinic receptors in their brains."

I don't understand half of it, but when I have time, I want to go through some of the background lit in Pubmed.

Speaking of frogs little ones have been appearing on a kitchen window here at night. Scared the heck out of me two nights ago. I saw weird white feet walking on my window. Almost jumped out of my skin. I look closer, and its a little frog. It saw me looking, and hid behind the frame. Every couple minutes it would peek out, see me and hide again. Last night there were two.

They sound cute, except for the part about startling you.

They are cute. They must be nocturnal. I'm wondering if they're coming to the window because the lights are attracting bugs at night? I've never seen frogs like these before.

Maybe you can find them here. "Ohio's 15 species of frogs, at a glance."

I remember one year at asthma camp, there was some weird population explosion of frog/toads. When you went out at night, each time you put your foot down, a spray of tiny, tiny frogs would hop out of the way. That was a little too "Twilight Zone" for me.

We had that happen every time a hurricane made landfall around my house near New Orleans when I was a kid. The rain came then the Mosquitos came then the frog population would go nuts.

Hurricanes are rare here in MN, but it had to be something. Mosquitoes, we've got, so maybe that was it.

I have an addictive personality not sure how much of that is mild autism vs. just addiction. Thing is, I never drank hardly any, never did drugs, but yet cigarettes are my vice I can't stop. I tried quitting once & couldn't. They're the only thing that make me motivated enough to be halfway sociable and also perk me up & get rid of anxiety. I've tried smokeless tobacco products, dip & chew are just nasty, but I do like dry snuff sometimes. But smoking is the only way I feel like I am getting my fix. Maybe vaping will be the solution for me finally.

Whelp glad the IPV4S is working out for you..!! At least we do not have to worry about a DOA (dead on arrival). Maybe one day, I will break down and purchase one. Not at the moment however. I have my needs covered > :sneaky:

By all means brother please do.... I don't imagine this thread will be a hot bed of activity since what we have is not like having the common cold and so there are few of us here. I only know of 3 of us out of 230,000 members but more may pop out of the wood work.

Popping out of the woodwork. . . a few faces I'm NOT surprised to see here actually. . . funny. You notice somebody posting around and they stick out to you, and then you find them on an aspie board and you're just like. . . "ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, well that explains it"
