Me too.
And it sucks.
Yep and it was torture for those who did not understand and kept forcing me into situations that scared the hell out of me. Public speaking Church plays, etc.
Evil church people torturing a small child that way. No one would listen.
I have gotten better with time as far as public speaking and such but it still scares the hell out of me. One learns to not show weakness though, others will take advantage of apparent weaknesses.

Exactly like me brother... It was very horrible when I was a kid cause I didn't understand what was happening to myself.

Did your parents or school try to convince you it was nothing unusual.
That you just needed to apply your self buckle down and hey on with life?
That's how it went for me.
I had a guy at work ranting about how fake Add is and people just want drugs for Everything now.
Yeah. I take pills for my Add. Strattera.
Is non narcotic. Tough to abuse that!

Lol
I just asked that very question.
Small world eh?
I hated that aspect of it all.
I really just wanted to be alone.
That almost never happened.

I really like that we can tall about it here.
We have a lady from MN, a crazy guy in Amish wilds of PA, KY and chicago?
What are the chances of that happening without the interweb?
    how about ZERO to NONE

    I'm loving it.
    So do I brother

I had a bad panic today.
About 2 hours ago and I'm doing better,[/QUOTE]

Sorry to hear that brother :( Yeah those miserable panic attacks are horrible for sure.

But I still wonder if I need a xanax?
    I'm gonna try for no.

Well, if you can get by without them then all the better because they are physically addicting not to forget about being a toxin. I have taken a weak dosage of it for many years so I don't know if I would withdrawal or not. Oh well, I am not on a very high dose.

Yep had I not been intelligent and more stupid I would have been treated. As it was they said you are being lazy, just buckle down, etc.
    Intelligence can be a curse.

I'm a drug addict and so Xanax helps me :w00t:
Just kidding so don't call the treatment center. I do take Xanax but I also find that vaping does help tend to relax me. I am not on enough Xanax to tranquilize a fly but it does help take the edge off the anxiety.

@theddead Have you ever gotten panic attacks or do you have just plain ole anxiety??

I'm going through an attack right now to be honest.
When it gets bad I take ativan or xanax.
    that's. ..... 2 times a year?
Otherwise it's CBT -cognitive behavioral therapy.

    you too? Axiom?

yeah I have had anxiety/fear as far back as I can remember. Depression as well.
Tranks help but doctors do not want to keep giving them to me. so I just suffer along...
But the just going from one thing to another aspect of Aspergers is something I did not know but explains so much to me.

Why I am good at a lot of things do not stick with much of anything for too long. Just whip it and move on.

Yeah and if you are an aspie then I am quite sure that you have many other symptoms in common with us as well.

    Course , different times.
    I think it's easier now?
    Maybe?

Maybe intelligence is a curse, but I'd put my money on it being something that gets you through.

I'm sorry to hear that. School sucked back when and it still does -- well, depends, but too often. I really had to think a long time before sharing my son's diagnosis with anyone, especially education folks. In the end, Asperger's seemed a better label than the one ones folks came up with, such as oppositional or lazy.

I only grew up with one parent, but yes, they told her all of those miserable things :(
Some people are just ignorant and have mean streaks in them. It's as simple as that. I like to mess with people like that :w00t:

Yeah, I don't know how many handfuls of my hair was pulled out for all of my chronic daydreaming in class

    Yeah.
    For me too.
    I dreaded telling people.
    But. ... I'm 6'4 210lbs.
People stopped teasing me a long time ago.
When I was a kid I was miserable.
I'm glad your kid has a good caring mom!
    That helps. A lot!
