Actually aside from me my family is very normal. All very smart but stable. My wifes family now is another matter. Her fathers side was normal but her mothers side has had serious issues going back generations. Always check your prospective spouse's pedigree
what can I say though she puts up with me.
I had a spouse, lasted 10 years. All he ever did was berate me. I took that for a long while. But when our son was born, and at 3 years old, he grabbed him out of bed and took off drunk in my car(he didn't have one because he blew all his money at the bars--on other women). With me screaming and running down the street after them,... It was the worst day of my life. I got my son back. But divorced his dad. He could abuse me, but NOT OUR SON. Period!
I know this is probably too much information. But after 26 years, his dad is in his life again. And seems to be a good person. But I will never regret the decision I made all those years ago.
