I can totally relate. I have mild autism. Add to that, being a tattooed gay man & I am really one of a kind lol. I'm able to socialize, but only small bits at a time, and it's very difficult to be around strangers for long until I feel comfortable. Smoking has helped with those stressful moments with social anxiety, I haven't vaped yet but so far the vapers I've chatted with have been super nice! Really amazing answering my questions & such. Sometimes to non-autistic people we can probably come off as distant or cold but speaking for myself we just don't know quite how to socialize or initiate conversation sometimes. Bottom is to not judge a book by its cover, sometimes shy people just need a bit of coaxing or encourgement.

Welcome Robby. I have no tattoos nor am I gay but I sure as hell am shy and discovering I may be somewhat autistic? Or something more common than I thought anyway.
I think those like us in this thread will come across as helpful and friendly. In person maybe not so much.

I'm much more helpful and friendly in person.

Hold on, I have to chase some kids off my lawn.

Well, since I can't smoke my ciggies in the bars anymore, I am looking forward to meeting some cool people in the vape lounges :) Don't know what it is, but smoking has always been able to put me totally at ease like nothing else, and trust me being even mildly autistic can really suck in social situations sometimes.

Use your paintball gun on them like last time.
That didn't work out so well.. Now me and the kids are in a arms race.

Plus they sneak attack while I'm walking the dog..

I told them "time out" I don't know what else do. These kids today.. Sheesh

;)
