Oh, you'd hate my current situation. I'm still not back to even my normal yet, so the county is sending housekeeping help twice a week. When I had the help once before I always did the dishes myself since their standards are way lower than mine. But at this point in time I still can't stand up long enough to do them myself, so I have to try to ignore the grease and such still on them, or wash them again right before I use them.

Their take on towel folding, etc. is easier to correct once they're gone. I figure maybe it's a plot to make me work even harder at getting back on my feet?

Quite possible that it's a play to get you mobile once more. Frustration is a powerful motivator in that situation. We do eventually get to the point where "If it's gonna get done right, I'm gonna have to do it myself."

I have OCD, too. Severe. It's my biggest weakness, and greatest strength. Rather debilitating, but I wouldn't want to live without the gifts it gives me, so I guess I'm glad for the 'OC' but not the 'D'.

Hehehe, I hear that. The observant nature definitely keeps other people on their toes, makes us tough to slip one over on.

That might apply to me...somewhat...maybe. I can be pretty oblivious to a lot, though.

My wife is OCD but all forms are not alike. She is a clutterbug and abhors a cleared table or floor. Observant? Not really for her.
I finally gave up and just keep my little hidey lair neat.

Well, for me, the PTSD carries hypervigilance due to the type of trauma that brought it on, and that just feeds the hell out of the OCD and gives it a really intense focus. Takes a lot of effort for me to trust enough to stop waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can relate to your wife, though. In some ways, I'm a neat freak (Put my video games in specific order on the shelves and can get quite testy when they're mixed up. Put it back where you got it!), but in others, I'm a total slob (Got no problem piling things a mile high if I'm in the process of using them, or will need them shortly). It's definitely got it's quirks.

Yeah, OCD can have many widely varying manifestations. I'm a big time clutterbug, partly because when I clean, I get way too perfectionist about it and end up with a small corner spotless, orderly and highly disinfected, and that only after a lot of hard, stressful work.

My wifes issues started at about 40 yrs old. I found out it is a family trait on her mothers side of the family for mental issues to show up about then.
She was neat when we married and so was I but after years of fighting I just gave up. Very embarrassing for my family and friends members to come visiting...
One reason I have tended to hermitize...

I was shocked. Yes, shocked when my wife informed me I am ocd.
Ocd. Ocd. (Small joke. Sorry)
Well, I'm not a clean freak.
I don't tap 3 times... ... ...

Turns out, I am ocd.
To some varying degree anyway.

OK. That response was for the @NoFumus
Emoticon.
No for this one...
I'm too tired to fix it.
So... Good night!
:)
P.s.
If anyone remembers yesterday's messages,
The projects were. . . Annoyingly annoying.
Lol.

Stressing. Got a big project handed to me yesterday with a Friday deadline. This is a HUGE tsql query and mentally grueling. Wish me luck. I'll be chewing gobs of nic gum since I can't vape at work. I really felt like smoking last night. Even dreamed that I did. But I woke up and grabbed my trusted vamo.
With coffee cup empty, it's time to hit the ground running. Hope I have hair left after this. :(:tumble:

I know you like the money, but that is exactly why I would never program for a Company -- too many deadlines for my liking -- If I can't program at my own speed and style, then it's not worth it to me --- not even for monetary gain. (that's just me though) -- Hope you get the deadline met with low stress. Those are the times when a Xanax comes in handy --- the problem with that though is the stuff tends to make a person a bit sleepy, which would be bad in your situation.
