Stressing. Got a big project handed to me yesterday with a Friday deadline. This is a HUGE tsql query and mentally grueling. Wish me luck. I'll be chewing gobs of nic gum since I can't vape at work. I really felt like smoking last night. Even dreamed that I did. But I woke up and grabbed my trusted vamo.
With coffee cup empty, it's time to hit the ground running. Hope I have hair left after this. :(:tumble:

I hope it goes well, but just in case, we've got to covered.

I'm well, and you? How's your building project?

ummm --- I sort of overdid with hauling wood the other day because I either threw my back out or my discs are bothering me again --- I don't think my back is out but it's just the discs bothering me -- I get that way from time to time (fortunately not a lot) --- But the building is not going to build itself, so pain or not, I have to work more on it later today. I have lots of the frame done so it's just a matter of putting the roof on and the t1-11 siding for the walls, then it will be mostly done.

Progress -- good. Pain -- very bad. Can't you rest your back for the day?

My wifes issues started at about 40 yrs old. I found out it is a family trait on her mothers side of the family for mental issues to show up about then.
She was neat when we married and so was I but after years of fighting I just gave up. Very embarrassing for my family and friends members to come visiting...
One reason I have tended to hermitize...

yeah brother that would be most difficult for sure -- Most folks do give up in situations like that -- it's either that or they get divorced. You probably have more brawn and tenacity that most people in similar situations.

Cromwell, in my dumb opinion, you need to see the head croaker all the more now. I say this because you have lots on your plate other than Asperger's/Anxiety/Social Disorder or whatever is going on with you ---- You also have been dealing with the shame and embarrassment that comes with your Wife's disorder and this would be tough even for a normal person to deal with (probably even tougher for a normal). So Cromell buddy, it is my hopes as your friend that you can get to a Doctor one of these days soon. I am no Doctor but it would seem to me that in your situation that medication can definitely help you out. I am always against pharmaceutical type drugs and bad mouthing them but they do help me much in certain regards. Everyone is always knocking Ritalin but to my utter surprise the stuff has been working wonders for me and my paying attention to people while conversing with them. I never even knew I had a problem in those regards but the croaker picked up on it as well as other things and diagnosed me with ADD ---- So, I have Asperger's and ADD --- Anyway Cromwell, meds do work if you get on ones that work for your specific body chemistry and your specific problems.

I may have to I don't know -- I will see how bad the pain becomes --- It's not too bad now but I know how this back ordeal can turn out if I push it too much. The problem is that winter is coming and I have to have that thing built and loaded full of wood before it gets too cold -- I suppose one day would not hurt --- I will wait a bit and see how I feel.

I know you like the money, but that is exactly why I would never program for a Company -- too many deadlines for my liking -- If I can't program at my own speed and style, then it's not worth it to me --- not even for monetary gain. (that's just me though) -- Hope you get the deadline met with low stress. Those are the times when a Xanax comes in handy --- the problem with that though is the stuff tends to make a person a bit sleepy, which would be bad in your situation.
I have do work here til I retire in 4 years, then I'll do contract work. I'm single and the only one providing for myself. I need the money

I thought they weren't bad until the young protagonists became teenagers. I couldn't handle the self-absorbed whining, so we started reading general interest science for bedtime stories.

But in the first one most all of the adults had mental issues.

Oh I totally understand sista -- I was just telling you why I have never used my knowledge in the field ---- I am a rebel and don't like conforming to the timelines of others (that's just my weirdness) I suppose it is part of my social problem (I don't know) but I imagine you will like contract work when you retire -- that will be much more fun for you and without all the pressure. :)
