Franklin PA is only about 15 miles North of me.I'm not in the city proper, but it's Pittsburgh, who is?
And I'm a weird combination of city/country living fan, which is why I love Pittsburgh.
Without giving too much away, I live in a quiet section of the suburbs, I have next door neighbors close by, but I also have woods right out back of my house.
I like that I can be in the city in 5 minutes, or I can roam the countryside.
I was just out in Altoona area last weekend, and I'll be over in Delmont next weekend. Then over to Franklin PA, Ligonier, PA and Shakerwoods OH, all in the next few weeks. (I <3 fall craft shows). We spend a lot of time in the state parks up at Moraine or Erie over the summer.
I love the bike paths around the city, and that within a 15 minute drive or 40 minute bike ride I can be in the middle of nowhere.
It's a perk.

It was a quiet party with people mainly staring at their feet until AXIOM_1 climbed that tall, rickety ladder, trying to hang the piñata.
...... the ladder of course collapsed... Robert Cromwell vainly tried to break AXIOMs fall, but they landed in a heap on top of poor MaenadMoogle.... and the piñata landed on the citronella candle (that was a vain attempt to hold the mosquitoes at bay).. and burst into flame. The neighbors hearing all the screaming and yelling and seeing the now tall flames, thought a riot had broke out and called the police.
..... and that's the truth as near as I can tell it.
This is probably the most accurate description of what would happen.
Or in reality:
We'd all make plans to be there and then mysteriously not show up.
Which is pretty much my plan for any event I get invited to.

We'd all sit in the same room, vaping, and conversing via text or ecf.

I can point you in the direction of a few good shops around or tons of things to do in the area, but I really don't meet people. Don't take offense, I just don't do well with humans.

If you're bored this weekend, go up to Franklin and check out their apple festival. My mum goes for all the crafts and food, but my dad and I go for all the antique cars on Sunday.
Yeah I usually go to the Apple Festival each year. I more than likely will see you there but won't know who you are lol.... yeah I mainly go there for the food myself..... I stop at many of the concession stands and usually weigh about 30 more pounds by the time I walk away from there.

Ordered some blueberry pancake ejuice this morning. Can't wait!

I had a blueberry breakfast crumble (think blueberry coffee cake). It was pretty good, but the blueberry was a little. . . off?
I'm not sure, I know I'm picky about blueberries in my food (I'm spoiled because my mom grows them and I'm always super disappointed when I buy baked goods and they taste like canned blueberries)
So maybe that was the problem. It tasted like canned blueberries.

Western PA does LOVE it's fall craft shows. I'm pretty sure I've got at least one lined up for every weekend of October.
