I am a dripper 90% of the time. Mechs, boxes, REO's, even the dna 40 are where my time tinkering, building, modding, etc. Then along comes this Atlantis. Fisrt time I tried it was on a friends Zero at 33w, blown away (like a prebuilt kayfun), i now own 2, they sit on box mods at 20w-30w depending on juice. Won't take the place of dripping, but def has a place in my line up for a while. (Was gonna write this long ... review but ehhh, look this is a great clearo, just get to a vape shop and ask the owner to try his because they are all going to be using this thing, it really does stand alone in the prebuilt world).

until the kanger sub ohm hits the market-then let the sub ohm clearo wars begin(being the switzerland of vaping i will remain neutral and reserve the right to vape with both devices!)

I also find I prefer the air flow full open. When I started vaping the dealer wanted to sell me the box mod but I was too self consious to carry such a large device. I'm over that now. I'm sure the Atlantis is just the first of more and better. I want to restrain my spending on hardware so I can participate in the rise.

After 6 weeks of 4 cigs a day I let them run out a week ago and haven't had one since. It's been an amazing ride. Now I have to persuade a brother who smokes to start vaping. When we get together at Christmas I'm going to smoke just one of his and not another to make the point that it's about control, not quitting. Who doesn't want control? At least that's the pitch I'm going to make.

just remember nothing you do can make him quit- it has to come from him. show him an enjoyable example with vaping and he will come around.....

If anyone is interested in seeing what the inside of the new sub-ohm bvc coil looks like, I did a review on the Atlantis and also tore apart the coil. It seems to have the same wicking material as the mini along with another type of material.

I was going to try and rebuild one of the coils but honestly, It looks very time consuming.

Looks like it will be a snap - just have to press out the inner cup (the "shield" you refer to), then build your vertical coil and wick with japanese cotton. Alternatively, you could replace that thin layer of wicking material with stanless steel mesh, then wrap the coil itself with japanese cotton. I already have a spaced 28 gauge nickel coil ready - used a 10-32 screw to give same inner diameter as stock atlantis, .15 inches

Mine showed up today and I have run a tank through it now so first impressions...

On my initial fill I soaked the wick as much as I could through the top of the head. I standard filled it with 12mg Boba's primed it and then let it sit a bit.

First if you want clouds this is clouds. Massive, and I mean massive, amounts of vapor even at 20w.
I tested from 20w to 35w and performance was great but I prefer cooler vape so I settled in at 25w

Flavor: I have only run 1 and a partial tank but flavor was muted. My normal at home vape is a modded kayfun lite+ and the flavor difference was large. I run my kayfun with triple twisted 32g kanthal and japanese cotton. The flavor from that really blows away the Atlantis.

Airflow adjustment is great and I set to max and it had great airflow.

Nicotine: I use 12mg juice and it is way way to high for the Atlantis. I don't have any less liquids around so I didn't test it but I had to really pace myself to keep from nic sick.

Consumption: Clouds come with cost. The liquid consumption on this is through the roof. If I used this for adv at 25w I would go broke.

To fill my second tank I screwed the head into the chimney and filled it quite a bit higher. I have not noticed performance differences so this may be ok to do.

I am going to use this on and off for while to see if the flavor changes and how the flavor is with other juices.

Nice toy to play with

PS I love the drip tip

alright so i just got the Atlantis, first i soaked the stuffing in the coil, then i filled the tank let it sit for about 20-30 minutes first coil took a few primer puffs then i took a hit at 30 watts on my sigelelie 100watt, instant nasty burnt taste to it, almost chem like, its not the juice as ive run the same juice in my aero tank, and other kanger stuff, this is my 2nd aspire tank setup, i know its sub ohm'd and i kinda figured it would be sorta plug and play what am i doing wrong? the 2nd coil i did the same thing with expect i ran it at 20 watts and still got the chem taste im having no luck with it. i attempted to clean it and i have no idea how to remove the glass tub from the top section as it doesn't seem to unscrew or pull off, i broke the first tube attempting to get it out of the top metal sections. the first coil ran at 0.05 ohm the 2nd read at 1.0 ohm im using a 100 VG by potion vape its a fruit flavor of sorts. Thanks for any help still kinda new into the whole vaping thing probly jumped the gun on buying the sub ohm'd tank.

I've found the best flavor at 30 to 35w on the Atlantis. If I vape at 25 or lower it seems to mute the flavor with my juices. The coil takes a brief break-in period too, just like the Nautilus BVC coils. To me it seems Aspire uses some kind of liquid or coating (maybe a VG?) to keep the coil in good shape until it's used and it generally takes me a couple of ml to get that purged out before the flavor really comes alive with my juice. I also get the best flavor with the second to largest air slot, although I vape the largest slot most of the time because I really enjoy the vapor production. But the second largest air slot does seem to intensify the flavor. I can say that the Atlantis gives me much better flavor than my Kayfuns and just slightly behind my PlumeVeil. You might want to play with it a bit more with different settings and juice to see what works best for you.

BTW, I have a friend that doesn't fill the tank and just drips through the drip tip and vapes it at 120w. I don't get it, but he loves it. Maybe someday when I'm bored I'll give that a try... but he swears by it.

Small update: I have run 1 standard fill and 1.5 full fill tanks through this now. Im settled in at 30w now after adjusting to a warmer vape than I am used to. After basically 3 tanks the flavor has increased some but it is still not > my kayfun. The output from this thing is fun but not practical. I would't be able to use this in a car that had other people in it and my employer would get mad if the office looked like a cheech and chong movie. However very fun toy to play with that does not cost much.

I snagged all the coils I could because I love this thing. in every aspect it blows away kfl+ imo. only high end drppers are slightly better. downside to this is very expensive. $4 coils that last 30ml at a rate of about 2ml per 15 minutes. 35w seems best. I would be afraid of 120w on this. might explode who knows. I can't believe I used aero tank and bvc. before that the other clearos. no comparison. now, finally it is like a real rda. if money is an issue still rda is king. if convenience matters most and not cost this is now the ticket. I will go ahead and try 100+ watts but that is just going to be too expensive. for science sake, yeah. I have devices that go to 250w but that is asking for it I bet.

only serious issue is I have to shut off the alarm. if I forget and....well you get the picture.

I have one, it's pretty much the bees knees. I ordered one off the internet and then went into my local vape shop yesterday and they had 2 left, so my impatient ... snagged one there as well. "Oh well, least the one in the mail has a set of 5 coils coming with it" was my rationalization. Haha. I like it a lot. It doesn't beat my Hobo but it's still pretty awesome. Vaping some Cereal Killer out of it, straight up frosted flakes son.

I don't own an Atlantis yet, but I will soon! I just wanted a place to rant about how impressed I was with this. I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I visited a local brick and mortar this morning and they had a filled Atlantis for people to try. Now, I have tried my hardest to get into dripping and high wattage, and for a minute I owned a couple RBAs, Kayfuns, and mech mods, but I couldn't fall in love with it and sold everything. I just planned to stick to standard gear for good. But this Atlantis? OH MY GOD. It's truly a game changer, and I suddenly find myself checking out Vapor Shark, IPV and Hana prices online. All I have to say is, Kanger better bring their "A game" with the Subtank.

I'm all over this thing, when the replacement coils hit websites this week.

I've been using an atlantis exclusively since 11/18. Still on the first coil. I can't compare it to dripping and power beyond 30 watts bacause I haven't done those. I must be a wimp because my power is set to 8 watts and that has created an entirely satisfying experience from the Atlantis that still blows away my N mini and Joyetech Egrip. I expect to go back to using those other two eventually--probably.

I'd like to understand why the Atlantis works so well for me at 8 watts when everyone else seems to think 3 times that power is necessary. I saw a photo with an N mini and Atlantis coil side by side. The Atlantis coil has a larger diameter and is longer than the mini. Pie X diameter X length = surface area. A coil with more surface area should be able to produce the same amount of vapor at a lower temperature. If its large enough then more vapor AND lower temperature. That seems to be a point made by the DNA40 developers, that there are diminishing returns to higher temps?

P.S. I wish I had a regulated mod that put the Atlantis tank along side the battery so the rig is shorter and more pocketable. Good for work and the dirt bike.

I had the same issue as other with my Atlantis, chemical/burnt flavor. Primed the coil with max VG juice, filled the tank and let it soak for an hour before I ever hit it. Zero juice flavor.

I was able to dismantle the atomizer. Even after my hour soak, with just 3 pulls at 20 watts, there were dry spots on the wicking and some very slight yellowing, I think was the start of burning.

Very important note: the stock coil has resistance and non-resistance wire soldered together. It looks and feels like 24 gauge, just a hair over 3 wraps at 4mm. Coincidentally, these numbers work out on the app for a .5 Ohm coil.

It took a few days of usage to get decent flavor out of the box. Some claim there is a "burn in" time for the coils, but as I am on my first coil, I can't speak to consistency, burn in time, or otherwise. I am rather impressed getting this kind of performance from a tank vs my Kayfuns or drippers. Usually I Kayfun at work then drip at home for convenience. It performs well on both mechs and regulated boxes alike. All I have is a Hana V3 for regulated, but it kicks ash.

I was lucky and my B&M The Vapor Exchange held one for me on Black Friday and picked one up for $29 -- been seeing these for $40+ elsewhere. The replacement coil price is kinda high, but if these last 2 weeks or more it'll be worth it. Nautilus coils usually lasted me about a week with how much I vape, so I'm hoping that this wont be the same. But then again, there are several videos on YouTube on rebuilding the coils so I'll probably be going that route.

Anyone have any idea how well this Atlantis works on a Provari P3 with a 20 watt limit? Want to pick one up to try but don't want it to be a waste of $.

You will need to make sure you buy the 1 ohm coils. The P3 won't fire with .5 ohm coil.
You also will need to turn off the boost feature.
