Aspire BDC Coils Stuck

So my Aspire BDC was about out of juice, so I went to go take the bottom coil housing off of the tank to refill it and it's stuck. Like really, really stuck. Like I wrapped both parts with some athletic tape and torqued the hell out of both parts in the right direction and it won't even budge a little. What can I do to get that off of there and what did I do wrong to get it stuck in the first place? I had to turn the tip upside down and put some juice in the little indention around the tube that connects to the coil housing and put the tank back on upside down. Any suggestions?

Stick the whole thing in the freezer for a while and then take the pliers to it again and should help.

I've found rocking the top cap back and forth following the airholes pops it off with my mini pliers....otherwise it's a biatch to get off!!!
