Well my point is a nonaccessable tank area and no airflow control should be history. Apparently it was a door Kanger didnt want to open and that completely eliminated the desire for a Nebox for me. Every all in one device from this point on should carry both those features.

I also dont like the tank system the Plato uses that you have to drain the tank to remove the coil. I will probably rewick my RBA after each tank full (5.6 ml) to avoid being stuck with draining a tank to fix something. Ive used it enough with the Nautilus/Kabuki that it shouldnt run into any issues.

Well so far so good. I received my Plato today from VapeNW. Only been a few hours so its too early to say a whole lot. I have not tried any coils other than the VVTF rba.
It fits fine. The flavor so far appears stronger out of the Plato than it was using this rba in the mini nautilus.
But it is a fresh wick, and the long narrow chamber in the Plato may be the reason for this.
Its just a 1.1 ohm kanthal build at 16w, nothing special but it tastes great. I know MTLers would like it.
I took a close up so anyone interested can see how it fits.

Good to know it works, got two of those RBAs coming. Arent you worried about the cap unscrewing leaving the base inside when you go to rewick/recoil?

Yep. I did a test run, installed it then removed it. Then installed it again but before filling it I unscrewed it slightly just to make sure the coil was unscrewing with the chamber, then tightened it back down. Hopefully Im ok on that. I will find out probably in an hour or so, and find out how messy changing coils/ rewicking will be. I didnt fill it full this first go round in case there were complications
It took me a few min just with the rba and chimney attachment outside of the mod to get it tight that I was comfortable installing it.

I guess though, anyone using the nautilus/Triton mini coils will have to pay attention to that.

People with Nautilus/Mini Triton will use that jam nut to keep it from spinning, but that wont stop the cap of the RBA from unscrewing.

At least with the RBA you can toss some TC wire in there at tell us if it pushes a preheat punch in TC mode. I'm figuring it does not have a preheat or has some other TC issue and that is why Ni200 coils do not come in kit. Can you run TC through its paces & let us know? Reviewers only said it works in TC & that usually means no preheat available & TC issues exist. It will be a month before my NI200 coils from FT get here.

Here are .pngs of some custom screens I was playing with. Need to convert to monochrome .bmp w/ paint to load to Plato. I haven't tried to load them yet, but according to instruction pdf....

Edit: Monochrome .bmp has very poor resolution. Graphics lost detail & had to be further edited to load to Plato & at least appear close to intended. Update software will not recognize device unless unit is plugged in with battery out, usb connected, software utility started, then battery inserted.

Any deviation results in failure. Process very unrefined, buggy and disappointing. Hardly worth the effort for a custom screen that only appears after a battery pull. Does not bode well for future firmware update support and functionality IMHO.

At some point after the second fill in the Plato I managed to flood the coil. I could see juice around the air flow control holes at the bottom of the mod, but no liquid had actually dripped out.

I pulled the cover off, and opened the top push tab used to fill the tank with juice, then plugged the drip tip slot at the top with my finger and blew up into the air flow control, blowing hard enough, but letting up as liquid approached the filling hole, repeated that a few times. It worked. Its been normal the rest of the way and didnt I loose any juice anywhere, except a tiny bit in my mouth. lol

Anyway if anyone else experiences flooding, try that first before thinking you have to empty the tank and start over. It was probably my fault anyway. I cant say I had been keeping the mod upright the whole time
carrying it around. Which may not even matter if using designated coils for the Plato. Other than that little mishap (which turned out to be nothing) I havent had any other issues with it so far.

Not surprising with an RBA. Never found one that liked any other orientation than upright. Stock coils have not leaked outright but I have had Wet juice spots on the table top in the morning that may be due to condensation rather than outright leaking. On par w/ the CL Egrip I drilled a hole in the base of to try to get some air to the coil over time.

Yep. Ill chalk that flooding up to user error.
Im going to try to find some TC wire or TC coils tomorrow after work to see if it has preheat.

Thanks, but don't feel obligated. No need to go out of your way to spend money I wont spend to answer my own question.

If you PM me I'd be happy to send you some NI200 and some Ti T1 wire for the RBA though.

Are you aware that the Plato has a "System Off" Feature? Click the fire button 5 times and it will say "Locked Click 5X" then hold the fire button for 3 seconds and the Plato screen reads "System Off" which turns the entire unit off. Then click 5 times to turn it back on again and the logo screen appears again. So to correct your previous statement, the logo screen can appear two different ways.

So far so good with removing the RBA and it not unscrewing with the chimney. I dont think the nautilus/triton mini coil getting stuck will be a problem for people if they just make sure its tight in the chimney attachment before installing it. Thats all Im doing and it hasnt messed up yet.

Still havent tried the cleito or the nautilus/triton mini coils. I did order a pack of the .15 ohm TC triton mini coils just to try them out. Should have them in a day or two.

Honestly for $50 or less this is a pretty good mod. Even changing out the RBA to rewick last night wasnt really messy. I vaped the tank down to nothing, other than the excess liquid that sits in the little drain area that sits below the tank. I may not be able to take the liquid down all the way with the prebuilt coils, but with the rba and rayon I can. I needed to wipe down the chimney piece after pulling it out, but that was it for being messy.

I guess it has that typical cheap feel to it that you get from Aspire, Kanger, Eleaf, etc compared to high end mod makers, but everything functions correctly, no rattle, no leaks, reads ohms and fires at set wattage correctly. I guess TC and firmware updates are still unknown, and they need more coil options for direct lung vapers, but I cant really say anything bad about it as to how its performed for me.
