I have pretty much the same question as above. Does anyone here know if the nautilus BVC fits in as a replacement on an Aspire ET-S BDC? I find the Aspire ET-S BDC tends to run a little hot. I'm using the1.8 ohm ones with high VG juice (slightly diluted with distilled water), but have not tried the 2.2 ohm ones yet. Switching to the 2.2 ohm replacement coil assemblies might give me a cooler vape, but I'm not sure I'm willing to lose much in vapor with the switch. Flavors are muted too, so going up to 2.2 ohms may help with that as well. If I have a vv/vw battery, does the ohms rating on the atomizer matter much?

I have gotten so many dry hitting BDC coils from so many different vendors Aspire sent me a free pack of BVC coils. I had given up on my Nauttys giving them all to the hubby and taking all the hard hitting Gemini's and even fixing his Aerotank....again... to use for some tank crackers that the Gemini's can't handle. I was fiddling around with an Orange Cream recipe trying to make it more dreamy and creamy and it tasted blah and bland. Hits of Orange and then Vanilla. No flavor mixing and of course super dry hits more than anything else on the Nautty. Then the vape mail van arrived and holy wow did my life just change.

BVCLOVE.jpg

I decided to keep the mixture I was working on in the Nautty and see what the BVC coil did. It blew my mind. I am not a cloud chaser more of a stealthy little kitty so I cannot really comment on the vapor production but the throat hit is amazing and the taste is so good you will not believe your taste buds. I took it to 12 watts on a VV3 and that was throat burningly good. I put it on the MVP and the taste was even better I swear the MVP has a more constant power flow. I took it up to 11 watts on that and it was just as fantastic. I took them both back down to 10 watts as I am not dripping or anything like that. The vapor seems the same as it was with the BDC's but the Orange is 100% PG so obviously I am not looking for clouds.

The hubby put straight Mt. Baker's Menthol in his first Nautty and it tasted better than any other tank/coil we have tried. That was a 80/20 PG/VG 12mg USA Menthol.

In the second tank he put a mixture of Mt. Bakers 555 and USA Menthol, a blend he has been working on since their stock Menthol 555 isn't to his liking. Same 80/20 PG/VG but the 555 is 18mg. The combined flavors pop so much more than they did with the BDC's. The flavor profile is totally different in a good way.

The BVC's are not as conservative on juice but I have not gotten one dry hit in over 12hrs. I have been chain vaping like a monkey and not one gurgle, flood, dry hit or otherwise off taste or burn. On a fresh BDC coil I would get dry hits within the first few hours. It was infuriating.

Someone was asking about Protanks and Protanks with Aerobases. I only have an Aerotank. I hate this thing. I have fixed the bottom on this so many times and the freakin' pin is my nemesis. It refuses to stay put and shorts out all the time but that was still better than the BDC's. So I kept fiddling with it while I waiting for the slow boat from China to bring me the BVC's.

AEROVV3.jpg

I switched back and forth today and even with a higher nic 24mg heavy flavored juice the BVC with a soft Orange Cream is still better. Hits better, throat burn yum and overall mouth feel cleaner and deeper. I have Mt. Bakers Solar Flare in the Aerotank on a VV3 battery with like 4 flavor shots and it cannot even compare to the taste of the BVC.

I did not buy a mini Nautty. I plan on getting a herd of them when the next new thing comes out and they drop down into a price range I want to pay:p I imagine the throat hit will knock it out of the park on a smaller tank. So I may get one sooner than later.

I have not learned to rebuild/rewick/rework coils yet so the Aerotank coils are stock but new. They simply cannot compare to the BVC. Not even the same ballpark.

One other note I believe the BVC's only come in 1.8ohm right now. I am not sure they are even bothering with the 1.6ohms anymore.

I did not pay $30 for five coils. I paid $21 for 10 (I got a pack free as I said). If they last as long as they claim $30 for 5 coils will be worth it but I have seen pricing around $2 per coil.

I gave up on hoping the Aspire Nautilus BVC head would fit an older model Aspire BDC. So I just bought a Nautilus Mini from evape.us for about $22. So low I paid $2 extra for expedited shipping ($5 total S&H). Unfortunately, they do not yet have BVC replacement coils in stock. I can hardly wait to try it out on the iTaste vv v3. I've never seen pictures of one of these on this model iTaste, so I may post pics if I end up happy with the new setup. I've gone a little crazy with buying new e-cig stuff recently, and really need to slow down, but I probably need to order another iTaste vv v3, as I only have one right now.

I just ordered an Aero Tank yesterday before discovering all the good things people were saying about the original Nautilus, grrr. I had just ordered my 1st vv/vw, an Innokin MVP. Now I just gotta have a Nautilus and they have the normal one at fluidvapes for 21.99 but their BVC coils cost more than Kidney puncher.

I wonder if there is any way to just clean the new BVC coils when they get funky. Anyone tried this yet?

Thanks for listening

Lots of people like the Aerotank and Aerotank Mini, and they use fairly cheap and easy to find replacement heads, so you may still end up liking it, and may even want to hold off on a BVC until you've tried the Aerotank. That being said, I don't have an Aerotank, but was previously considering the Aerotank Mini if my other options didn't turn out well. Reviews on the Aerotanks are mixed, but a few people don't like the Nautilus Mini either, so it sometimes just comes down to personal taste in these things. Please let us know how you like your Aerotank when you get it. I'm sure we'd be interested in a direct comparison if you end up getting a Nautilus with BVC as well.

Any idea which BVC heads (1.6 or 1.8 ohm) would be a better resistance choice for vaping high VG juice on an iTaste vv v3.0 at maybe around 4.2 volts or under. That battery can go higher, but I've never done so with any of my current clearomizers so far. Typically I run a single or double bottom coil at around 3.5 volts, just to keep things warm, but not too hot or dry, and to keep flavors from being muted. Throat hit is still usually quite good at that level, and vapor output decent. I've not yet tried the Nautilus Mini with BVC, but have one ordered and on the way. It seems those can be run at much higher voltage/wattage levels without excess heat or damage to the coil, while producing very good flavor. I'd like to order some more coils for it, but I should probably just wait, try it out, then see which resistance level coil I like best.

Best prices I've run across:

Genuine ASPIRE Nautilus Mini (with 2 BVC heads) $24.99

Genuine ASPIRE Nautilus Mini - 101 Vape

Genuine ASPIRE BVC replacement coils 5 pack (1.6Ω and 1.8Ω) $12.99

The wife and I both got the nautilus minis and she also got the aero tank mini . I posted a thread on it and a small comparison . The aero tank has a air adjustment that you can fine tune to your likening but no way to lock it there and easy to turn it in either direction , the aspire has four presets that do somewhat lock into place and has a dent over the top of each preset so you can see if it has moved when pulling out of your pocket or something . The bvc heads on the aspire are a game changer , the vape is better in every way . The kanger is slimmer and comes with a metal tank if you choose to use it but also holds less juice because of it . Aspire is 2.0 ml. I love the aspire , she like the kanger a little better , but very little . Hope it helps

I've only just recently received my BVC Nautilus Mini, so I'm only just starting to get used to making adjustments for it on an iTaste v3. I've been able to up the volts a bit more than what I've used with other bottom coil clearomizers, but not by much so far. At 4+ volts, I start to get some too hot for my liking hits, and flavor gets a bit too muted. I'm currently a bit happier around 3.8 volts, having started at 3.3 volts. Flavor delivery hasn't been all that amazing yet, but it has been modestly better than every other bottom coil clearomizer tank I've tried so far. (The shorter, lighter and arguably uglier EVOD being the 2nd best I've tried so far.) I do pretty well using the 2nd smallest air hole draw setting. I typically get some gurgling if I go to either of the 2 larger settings. The smallest setting is just a bit too tight. I'm actually considering giving the iTaste 16 clearomizers a try, as I generally like my Halo Triton tanks that have a similar top coil, top fill design (which is what I understand the iTaste 16 to be). I'm curious how well a design like that would work for me on my iTaste in comparison to the BVC Nautilus Mini.

I've been using the new BVC's (1.6 ohm) in my 5Ml Nautilus. The flavor is good, but it's been hit and miss with flooding. Open up the air holes and it still floods. But it doesn't flood very bad. One can still vape and get a good hit with good vapor.

I still stand by my Aerotank Mega (even over the Giant). The Mega hasn't had any flood issues in the 3 weeks I've had it.

I guess I'm still new to all this.. so.. Im not quite clear what you mean by "flooding".. does that mean you get juice into your mouth? like spurts of juice?

Im kinda paranoid about dry hits.. so with the BVC I put into my Full size Nautilus.. I used a carto punch I bought to add 2 extra holes so.. I dont have to worry about dry hits.. the mini is too small for me.. I drain it in about 3-4 hours... I could just carry juice and refill it.. but If I can go all day without having to refill it.. then using the Full size with BVC's is better for me..

Flooding is when the coil gets flooded with juice. One can hear a gurgling noise. If it gets real bad, you can get juice in the mouth. I haven't had that yet with the BVC (juice in mouth). Overall, it's wayyyy better than the stock coils made for the Nautilus. I'm not totally sold on these yet, but I might be within time. Then again, I'm using 1.6 ohm coils. I bought two 5-pack sets, the other being 1.8 ohms. Got 'em on sale from 101Vapes.

so.. ya.. NOW.. I totally get the flooding.

FYI - no need to carto punch the new BVC coils... they wick much better than the originals...

the BVC I carto punched? ya.. flooded bad after an hour or two of use.. and now I know what flooding is.. ( yuck! may as well put a straw in the tank. score one BVC coil.. tossed.. user error )

I only get flooding with my Nautilus Mini BVC when I'm vaping in a reclined position. That's too bad. My EVOD, though not as well performing as the BVC does not have this issue. Admittedly, most bottom coil clearomizers I've tried do seem to have this issue. Anyone have any advice on preventing the Nautilus Mini BVC from doing this?

How many mls of juice are you guys getting out of your BVC? As much as I like the taste it does not seem to last to long, maybe 5 or 6 ml.

i just put new 1.6 ohm coils in 9 of my naughty's. woulda done 10, but i burnt a coil. 3 of those coils were 11 days old, the others were 9. there were 1.8ohm, only changed them cuz i got my 1.6s today.

at least 1 tank of juice went through each, but 1 had 5 fill ups. i think 2 had 2 fills.

i may have noticed a slight drop in taste, but i was running them at the same wattage as the bdc, 9.1w to 9.9w. went up a watt or more on each one, flavor was better than ever. the coil i burnt today, i put on a mod that was still at 10.3w. i'm thinking if you give the coils a day, or so, around 9.1w to 9.3 w, you'll extend the life. just cuzs you can go 15w plus, i don't think you should start there.

for me, the big question is how reusable is the coil? did a quick boiled water soak on 10 of them (the ones i changed). will check them when they dry.

edit: i saw a fix on the flooding, just blow into the tank w/o firing. seems to work.
