Aspire Nautilus....please HELP :(((((

Hi! I'm new to vaping and I've had a semi-rough learning curve and usually found all the answers in to my problems by reading previous posts but... I have a weird new problem that I can't fix.

current setup:
-Provari mini on 3.5 volts
-Aspire Nautilus 1.8 ohms

After burning out 2 atomizer heads in a week or so at 4.0-4.5 volts I've been sticking in the 3.3-3.8volt range and its been working out pretty dandy.
I don't know if I'm super sensitive to the burnt taste but I've been having to switch out atomizer heads bi-weekly...even when I have two Nautilus tanks (one for my during-the-day-tobacco vape flavor, the other for evening-desserty flavor) first question...is this normal?.

My MAIN problem at the moment though is for one of my tanks I'm getting pretty much 0 flavor after I changed out the atomizer. After some debating on whether to open a new atomizer and waste ~$4 or not... I did and same thing - NO flavor. I let it straight on my mod, gave it a few primer puffs without firing before vaping...but still no luck. I thought it was "vaper's tongue" at first but when I switched out tanks I could taste the flavor just fine. The WEIRDEST part is I'm getting normal vapor production...so I don't think the problem is that the liquid isn't getting through. And usually when I'm taking primer puffs the air I'm sucking in tastes like the eliquid but I'm tasting... I don't know wick/coil/silica?

Is something wrong with the tank? It was working fine for the past couple weeks since I got it...

Feedback is much appreciated..

I am quite fond of my nautilus, and have noticed that if everything is not screwed down properly (not too loose, not too tight) it will misbehave.

Too airy has almost always been a loose coil assembly in the base of the tank, once or twice it has been leaving the top/chimney too loose, that usually also causes leaks.

Wife and I have also had one box, out of 5-6 boxes, where the coils were just broken on many fronts.

In our combined experience cream colored rubber grommets on the positive pin are awesome, gray grommets are not awesome.

So far every gray grommeted coil we have had has failed within moments of first use, and upon tearing it apart (for science you know) have discovered that they do not have an inner insulating sleeve, no insulation tubing on the coil leads, a different piece of filler material around the inside, and it is folded over once on the bad coils.

I will start a thread in new users later, gotta make some photos of tiny things, etc.

Are you sure the Nautilus's you have are both REAL?

I just went through getting a fake one and from the looks of it, box, labels, unit, it appeared to be the real thing. But when checking the security code at the Aspire website it turned out to be a Knock Off.

Same goes for the other poster that is having problems with one style coil head. Those that burn out fast may be fake.

I might add it is most likely your heads not working properly.. It is the build in them.. I had lots of trouble with heads/coils not giving flavor.. If you get a good head all is fine but most of my experience is that they suck.. If you rebuild them and use cotton as wick you will be fine.. That is if you want to rebuild them. I stopped using my tank as the flavors were not there or it was producing bad flavor. Funny tasting..
I would get plenty of vapor but no flavor.. I threw in the towel on the Naut because I dont want to rebuild those tiny coils..

I tinkered with it for awhile but to no avail.. Tired of buying heads for it when most of the ones I got werent working correctly.. Cleros pretty much suck IMHO..

Went back to my Reo and RM2 attys and RBAS..

i tried rescrewing everything together - same thing. having it right side up overnight its working okay now (still LIGHT flavor from bobas bounty which has never happened :/) but at least i can taste the liquid... its weird because usually couple of primer puffs and a few minutes was all I needed after replacing the atomizer head... now it needs a few hours?

oh and i'm pretty sure its genuine (purchased from vaporkings). i really appreciate the help thus far... awesome community on this forum :)
