Yeah, I get that, I'm just wondering if the fact that the air travels through the vertical coil like through a tunnel makes a difference in vape quality. Also, if it allows people to vape at higher wattages because, perhaps, the air travelling in that manner cools the coil more efficiently.
Horizontal builds are much easier, of course, both to build and to rewick; I just wonder if there's some additional air magic going on.![]()
Yes and no.
If you can suck air at same PSI or CFM, then position of the coil is almost Irrelevant to its cooling. 50cfm is 50cfm.
But, with horizontal coil, you cover more surface on the coil, thus tad tiny better cooling. Yet you are restricted by 50cfm in a wider space vs narrow space in a vertical coil. In the end, horizontal coils airflow is restricted by the body its surrounded by.
In other words; Vertical coil restricts it self by its inner diameter. Horizontal coil is restricted by the surrounding area in which it resides.
