As the scientific evidence swings more and more toward the safety and benefits of ecigs, the ANTZ more and more are going to go after "side" issues like advertising in their propaganda. Still, until such time that laws are passed to prohibit ecig advertisements, every ad broadcast or printed or hoisted on a bus or taxi is getting the word out to smokers that alternatives are available. I don't care if the ad is for Blu or Provari, this is a good thing.

Felberbaum buried his lede.

One of the toughest issues the FDA may eventually have to deal with is whether lightly regulating electronic cigarettes might actually be better for public health overall, if smokers switch and e-cigarettes really are safer.

If that's true, it "sure looks like the good would far outweigh the bad," Zeller said. "But we need the evidence to know how this is going to play out."

FDA's Mitch Zeller might actually be a sentient, reasonable man.

He's a sentient man who wants to lightly regulate ecigs in favor of companies capable of funding the fda with millions of $$ in approval fees. That is where most FDA funding come from -- their "customers."

So far 3 tobacco companies + njoy have indicated they're up for that. (I'm counting Lorillard as a tobacco company.)

AP reporter Michael Felberbaum is not an objective journalist, but rather he's been a publicist promoting the extremist views and policy goals of CTFK's Matt Myers and FDA's Mitch Zeller. In the past several years, and especially in his latest article, Felberbaum has been promoting FDA regulation/ban of e-cigarettes, while refusing to expose that the "deeming" regulation would ban all e-cigs.

Everytime Matt Myers or Mitch Zeller say anything about e-cigarettes, Felberbaum highlights their views in yet another news article, while he rarely presents any facts about THR (even after I and other THR advocates have repeatedly provided him with our side of the issue and lots of documents).
