Asterisk by member status?

I have done some searches to find out what this means, but to no avail...

Does it mean I have done something wrong and am under surveillance?

Does it mean I am awesome and on the verge of something great?

I NEED TO KNOW!!!

Thank you, but I am aware of that. I am specifically referring to the asterisk symbol * near my member status (full member).

The ONLY performance enhancing drug I am guilty of using is nicotine at 12mg/ml!!!

Well... if you received an infraction of some kind (for example), you would know it.........(we wouldn't). So basically, you and the forum admins would know. Asking us won't help. And they keep records/logs, so ask them.

I know a member that even has a "ball and chain" avatar with an asterisk on it due to this. He complained and moaned about it. Still can't get it removed. lol. I think, whatever it is, it's here to stay.... at least for a long while

I did receive a minor infraction, but that was several days ago and the asterisk just showed up today!

Thanks, this is good to know. I have mispelled bad words multiple times, thinking it was ok to do. I will no longer be doing that, but the good news is that there are always words that will work in their place

I've had two mod PMs with 1 point warnings, no asterisk for me.

BTW, many of the 'no-nos' will go unnoticed, unless someones is 'targeting' you.

I tried that one (well, I used the leet form with a 1 rather than the '!'). Anyway, the forum auto sensor knew that one and '....' it out. lol. I used a different word. Real glad now that I did. (wipes brow and breaths sigh of relief).

You didn't receive an infraction. Just a warning (reminder) letting you know that you can't do that.
