So.... I'm kicking around the idea of getting another Diver but a non flanged one this time around.

I assume I can just add a note to the order as has been the case in the past?

thats what i did. just put in the comments that you want a flangeless. mine should be here early this week :) hopefully it will work in either the X8 or AGR2 tank i have in my bin.

Oh, Lord, no, it is great to see devices being used in ways for which they were not designed. If I told you some of the experiments I've run the last couple of months with my Divers, Ithaka, etc. You'd be shocked. Metal drill bits, Sera wool, sawed off carto tubes...

We will continue nagging you to go NR though. I used my first R/NR device with resistance only, my eBDP, and I can tell you, when I finally tried it with NR, there was a marked improvement in flavor and vapor.

i have used both, when i first got it i went with res only because i didnt have any NR wire and then i went with NR-R-NR and then tried just resistance wire again and to be completely hinest i see no difference whatsoever in flavor or vapor? however, when my wire welder gets here i WILL be going back to NR-R-NR, just because ;)

Divers still show as available on Atmistique, I'd see if any unflanged are left and then just sell the flanged in the classies, they sell in seconds. Or just buy a Scuba for the flanged.

Thanks, I feel better now. :)

Konstantinos,

I have 2 divers, one works perfectly, the other leaks like a sieve. I've done a lot of testing and observations, and what it comes down to is the 2 delrin inserts in the base are out of spec - cannot be sure which one (or both) are bad.

If I order a 3rd diver, would it be possible to get a set of replacement inserts in that order?

Thanks,
chris

I have a VX (Vaperfexion) 22mm and a 19mm (on order) and they are awesome, well made tanks..

I am currently trying to find a high end 20mm tank to plop another Diver in but am not having much luck..

If only the Scuba was 20mm

Titanide. Le symbole d'elegance.

Ok, I have been using my Diver for a couple of weeks and I need to get some wire so I can rebuild some coils. I'm going to get some ready wire in NR-R-NR, my best option is to get my resistance of choice (I'm going with 1.55ohm) in the longest NR leads as possible, correct?

So I should get the 1.5 - 1.5" NR, right?

I assume I should pickup the Ekowool Silica cord as well.

I've settled on two strands of 2mm Ekowool, 1.3ohm Kanthal A-1 Ribbon Wire (.5mm x .1mm), and 32awg Nickel. This combo works really great for me.

Quoting you so I can refer back to this. Need to rebuild very soon!

Are flangless divers still available? Also, will a hippo V2 match a chrome/polished Provari?
