Let us know what success you have with those crimp beads, if you don't mind.

I'm going to need some NR wire for this, and I know that silver conducts better than anything. Any disadvantages to using silver instead of nickel that I should be aware of?

Also, is anyone aware of replacement ceramic cups here in the states? I've found a couple of stateside vendors selling the eBaron which uses the same cups (or so I've heard), but the don't sell replacement cups.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated!
Phiniac has confirmed that they're gunna be carrying extra cups and center pins as well :] They're also getting the grail in if anyone is interested. I just got their newsletter today and they said everything is on its way, so hopefully it'll all be here soon!

Thanks for the heads up about the cups and pins. I actually need some spare pins, which I forgot to order during my last Atmistique order.

I have been enjoying the Grail. I like the flexibility it gives the Diver.

I can also confirm that Phiniac will have Divers in stock soon, but I didn't ask about the spare parts. Please be kind to the rest of us folks, don't buy them all! Please? I only want/need one, and that's all I'm getting. Clones may be out in the near future, and I can't afford more than one of the genuine article along with spare parts.
- Thank you in advance.

I got a Zapper in the classies, but it doesn't really work very well. I intend to get the next tsaf+ version when it comes out in the fall, those seem to work very well. In the meantime, I bought 500 silver crimps on Amazon for about $20, and they work very well with silver wire and 32g and 36g Kanthal A-1.

Were you able to get one, Schnarph? I was, but just barely apparently. hahaha I went back to the page after check out, and sure enough, they were gone.

Yes, thank you! I also grabbed a few ceramic cups, one extra pin, and the Grail. I like RBAs but they don't travel well, which is the main reason I still have any cartotanks. I'm looking forward to taking part in this thread, beyond the complaints of not being able to get my hands on a Diver.

You can sign up on the Atmistique Diver page (or any product), and it will send an email the moment it is in stock. Also check the two threads in the Euro Supplier section where Konstantinos informs everyone on upcoming releases of stock and new products. Finally, there's always the occasional crazy person selling a Diver in the classies, but those last about 3 nanoseconds.

A link would be very nice if you don't mind.

The last person in this thread that posted a link to 1mm silver crimp beads leads to an out of stock item. Most of the crimp beads on Amazon do not list the inner diameter. The Diver comes with one pre-made coil of course, but I would like to be ready to make more when my Diver shows up. Crimp beads seem like a logical and easy way to save a lot of time and avoid wire twisting issues.

Amazon.com: 100 pieces 1x1 mm Cut Tube Crimp Real Sterling Silver .925 Bead Crimps Bead 1mm: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

These are the ones you want. I bought from two different sources on Amazon, these are smaller.

Nice, those are the same ones I already had in my cart. Thank you.

Last minutes shopping questions before the Divers get here:

1. I already have plenty of Ni200 32 gauge wire, will this be sufficient or is .999 silver wire worth the extra $ ? Is this a YMMV situation?

2. I've assumed that 2mm silica wick, 2mm, and 3 mm hollow core Ekowool will be plenty of variety to get me started. Any other suggestions?

Thanks again. This is one of a few very helpful threads!

I use 32awg Kanthal and Nickel. I may try silver sometime, but my setups are fine. I started with 2mm silica which is recommended and should work well. I prefer 2mm Ekowool and have not had luck with 1.5mm nor tried 3mm Ekowool. 2mm Ekowool is pretty thick (thicker than 2mm silica IMO) and I find it challenging to fit in the ceramic; I would think that 3mm Ekowool is too thick, but I haven't tried it.

Hey diver's.

Got a package from Atmistique today. The Diver with scuba tank and the gemini drip tip.
First thing i noticed was the space between the bottom of the diver until the thread starts are a bit long. Makes it sit alittle too high on every device i have. If this was trimmed down alittle and the scuba tank had a section on the bottom that could fit the diver snug that would be sweet. Anyway, it worked great out of the packaging, wich was beautiful :) Only struggle im having is refilling the tank. I've tried with needle trough the fill hole and taking it easy. But it floods over and juice gets everywhere.

Edit: As a diver noob jumping out into the water with the air-hose unconnected to the tank, i tought the fill hole was suppose to be upwards.

Found this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjzXpwcER6E tried that. Worked better :p

Now that i turned the tank around, lol. It's more snug with the diver bottom inside the scuba, yay. Still abit too tall for air, like 2 mm would be enough with 1.

Semes like a good product. This is my first try with a full tank now. Only thing besides the too "tall part" im worried of the filling plug in the bottom of the tank will fall out.

Edit 2: Its the pin that is too long. Its longer than the threads. if this was shorter and maybe ended in a small screw to adjust. This would be absolutely perfect.

I have a Diver and a Grail now. Hooray! The stock coil/wick tasted awful. Boo! I thought it was made without NR wire (burning the grommet) until I took it apart. It was leaking quite a bit and giving dry hits every other pull unless I let it sit for a few minutes. That's probably the 100% VG, 3% flavoring without any other diluent giving the dry hits. Why it's leaking at the same time is rather odd. Air bubbles from the liquid intake hole take a few minutes each to rise, if they rise at all. An air bubble comes out and clings to the hole for longer than I can stare at it.

The threads on the Grail were terrible. While the Divers come with QC tags, the Grail did not. After carefully removing a couple of metal shavings, it was still very difficult to thread in the Diver. Getting the Diver section back out was very difficult but nothing was damaged, luckily.

I made a couple of new coils today after the silver crimp beads showed up. Using 2mm Ekowool and .4x.1 Kanthal ribbon with 32 gauge Ni200, I now have a 1.3 ohm coils and it barely leaks. I'm getting a little better liquid flow, but it's far from perfect. I really don't want to make the liquid intake hole any bigger or add another one, so I guess I need to thin my e-liquid a bit.

Any suggestions, other than thinning the e-liquid? Should I try positioning the wick directly over the hole instead of the suggested perpendicular orientation?

Edit: I diluted my e-liquid and the Diver is performing nicely now.
