Ya my belief is that as soon as these fill ports are opened (VX and SnP) that it changes the pressure of the tank and the Diver does not like that..

Using a carto tool works great and I dont even remove the tank and / or Diver from the mod when filling.

1) Remove drip tip and plop on carto tool.
2) Slide tank up until Diver juice hole is outside tank
3) Fill to 70-80%
4) Slide tank down to sit flush with mod
5) Remoce carto tool and plop drip tip back on
6) Vape the beast!

I can fill my SnP via the ports and sometimes it won't cause a major flood. My issue is after it's filled there a very small amount of juice makes it to the 510 connection.

Try filling with the juice hole outside the tank and see if that small amount of juice on the 510 connector goes away.

Every now and then I get a little juice there as well..

The Diver is pressure sensitive and when you open a fill port the pressure changes.

When I was filling with the Diver juice hole inside the tank I got the same results as you.. Sometimes it was a massive leak and other times it was just a drip or two.

Now I only fill with the juice hole outside and my leaks are minimal to none..

pulled the trigger bud and ordered a Phiniac! it's pyrex, as you know. it'll have my dogs breed and initials on it too, can't wait to see it actually. my flangeless should work good in it, i hope ;) bit pricey but, you have too pay for quality.

The flangeless will work just fine in it. It's no different than any other carto.

First they aren't making a Diver tank, just recessing the hole in their delrin bottom caps and selling the caps. Maybe that's what you meant.

Second I think they feel if nobody knows they are selling the Diver nobody will know that they have the recessed caps. They are going ahead with the recessed caps anyway though. If you want to buy a Phiniac tank with the recessed cap then you would just add that in the comments or email them what you want. They aim to please. :)

I guess I was wrong about Phiniac making a diver tank. I hear they will be out soon with recessed bottom cap. They will post on their thread when they will be available. I don't know what the difference will be. I'm using the Diver in their reg size tank and it works fine. We should know soon.

Here's a problem I haven't heard before. The mark on the base that lines up with the juice hole is now off by around I'm guessing 1/4". I had to make a new mark on the base. How could this happen?
I always operated under the assumption that one must make their own mark on the base. For both my girlfriend's and my friend's diver, I cut a shallow notch into the flange with my dremel. In the case of my girlfriend's, this notch was pretty much in line with the two grooves on the threads, but on my friends the notch was off by about 1/4".

Edit, after re-reading your post I think I misunderstood what you where saying, I think I'm with you now. This issue also happened with my friend's diver, but has not occurred with my girlfriends. I have no explanation as to what is going on there, but it certainly makes rebuilding the diver a PITA.

I'm guessing that your o-ring broke in some and so you can twist it further.

I'm thinking oring also, unfortunately I haven't found the right size yet. Somebody gave me a link to the right one but you had to order 20 of them with a min purchase of something like $100. :(

I gave you a link in a PM after Konstantinos originally told us the size. I found some on eBay from a European vendor. It was $1.30 for 25 o rings, but it was the $7 for shipping that bothered you. They fit great.

A new set-up from an Italian friend @Lordmatrix. He notes:
I used 45mm NiCr 0.25 (1.1Ω), 0.20 no-res and 2mm double wick. The wick must be exactly 7mm from ceramic slots and horizontally aligned with the slots. The Diver feed hole must be 45º compared to the coil.
It will take a lot of patience in the phase of closure of the tube because the wick must remain horizontally aligned with the slots of the ceramic and the measurement of the wick must be precise.
