Fascinating. I use Pluid (but not with the Diver). I do not have a 45mm version.

I can try Pluid in my Scuba with v2 Diver, but I do not expect any issues.

Here's an idea - can you try the 45mm setup in a regular height tank, where you would normally use the 35mm? It'll stick out some, but this might help narrow it down. At this point, it is either the 45mm setup, or the 45mm tank. If the 45mm Diver v2 works well in the 35mm tank, it might be the tank causing this. If the o-rings aren't creating a tight seal, this would happen.

Sorry to drag you through all these steps, just trying to narrow down the culprit.

Edit: Bah, sorry, just read your last post. OK, not the tank, then. Let me think about the wick setup a minute and I'll follow up.

I did get gurgling and flooding if I used too little wick in the v2. My next step would be to try a bit more wick.

Just to clarify: the base with supplied wick&coil in the 45mm worked fine? If so, I would try a 2mm wick. I know the video by Atmistique says to use 3mm wick for the 45mm tube, but we should try this regardless.

A day and a half with symptoms that ι dont want to describe…

Akdare: we use BB with normal coil without issues. I don’t have it with me now so tomorrow i will make a microcoil to see the Kat theory

pmuniz10920: you still continue without issues? (many-many thanks to Kat)

MahdiMuh: happy Diving, I hope I will be the first who read your new book “Diver a conspiracy theory” :)

I think I figured it out. The problem is with the wire, not the coil but the leads. Center lead to be exact, I was cutting it a bit to long so it was hard for the pin to sit correctly. Allowing juice to flow out the center pin.

Thanks guys for all your help!

Awesome. That's a new one to me - and considering how much time I've spent around Divers, that's saying a lot.

I bought a pack of very small metal files and rounded over all the edges for the juice inlets yesterday. Slides into my BB tanks effortlessly now. :)

Cool. Another idea I had was to leave a tiny bit of extra wick sticking out, instead of cutting the wick flush with the Diver tube.

I have not had issues with stripping o-rings in any tank including the BB, though.

I tried that leaving a bit of wick out...could have been operator error, but the o-ring got hold of the wick, and pulled half of it out as I was putting the diver in the tank and left that pulled off part floating in the tank. What a mess. That's when I started experimenting with the SnC yarn, as it is not as soft as the cotton ball. Not a problem at all inserting the diver, and wicking fine in my Scuba. The yarn has 4 strands in it. I am pulling them apart, and using 5 strands.

In my Billet Box, however... I took your suggestion about setting the coil above the ceramic. The airflow is improved some, but not perfect. I have to take a long, slow draw to have it not whistle. The 5 strands seem to be too much in the BB, as I was getting some dry hits. I've pulled out one strand and and am testing that now.

I may have to wrap the coil on a smaller diameter coil for the 4 strands...or experiment with 28ga instead of the 30ga I'm using now. 32ga for the NR wire.
