I know I'm excited to try the V2 and since I didn't have the V1 I'm sure that there will be a learning curve. I'm good at learning curves! So Like I said "I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so Excited". Shoot now I'll be singing that all day.

Check out this vid How to: set-up Diver V2 - YouTube

 Too funny.

I stopped posting when I sold my Diver 1. Now that you guys have had some experience with the Diver 2, convince me that it is better and less fiddly the V1. The thing I hated about the Diver 1 was I couldn't seat the cup or get it back out without breaking it. Has this issue been fixed. I was about to order a truck load of cups but decided to sell the Diver 1 instead.

Good to have you back Casey! Now there's another missing... need to go hunting raqball :)

I can see how that would make it easier to get the cup out. Doesn't the screwdriver cause gouges in the cup that would cause leaking? I'm guess not or you wouldn't be doing it this way but it seems like it's a possibility.

I install the cup so there is a tiny gap there. It won't leak, it's designed to not need to be hermetically sealed there. I am going to run a test where I break off the whole top of the cup, and just leave the bottom base with the tiny holes for the NR wire intact. I suspect the flavor will be a bit muted, but it will work just fine.

If you tried that with the v1, it would snort in derision, throw its makeup bag at you, and then call the police.

That didn't work for me with the Diver 1. Did that work for you with the V1? Does it work better with the V2?

Thanks, it's nice to be back. I really wanted the Diver to work but I'm gun shy now.

yes, this is what I do with the V2. I always take my cup out in this manner.

I have only been using the diver 2 for a few weeks now and I must say it is the simplest to set up of all my tank attys. I also find that I can just pull the cup straight out with my fingers....maybe this isn't normal or I have "hulk" fingers....little snug but removeable by fingers! I did not have the v1 but the v2 has been very friendly thus far!! No leaking, dry hits, etc.

rbrtito, I understand that you have to make sure that the silica is in the slots on each side and be careful to keep them there while screwing top onto bass for that very reason. Plus don't cut the silica until after atty is screwed together. There are several good video's a few pages back that shows this. Hope this helps.

I plan on using 100% organic cotton balls. I like flavors better with cotton wicks.
