Im trying not to give up on the Boge carts so I purchased some XL's to use with my Phiniac tank. I keep getting this taste after a day or so, kind of like an earthy- grassy taste on the exhale, wondering if this is what everyone has been experiencing with their Boges lately? Works well for the first day then I feel like I'm vaping grass, flavor goes away. I hate to say it but my T3's seem to be a more consistent vape and tasting better than Boges.

Where you least expect it....
You might be extra sensitive to the taste of the filler material. Also, it might a sign that it's getting dry and close to being burnt. Perhaps, topping off more consistently will fix the problem. Just be careful not to flood it.

Thanks for starting this thread. I was a huge Boge fan for a long time, then came Bogegate. Quality went to hell in a hurry. I'm curious to hear from anyone if Boge's are back to their former high quality.

This deal...

http://.........blogspot.com/2013/01/5-boxes-of-xl-or-reg-boge-cartomizers.html

...almost got me to try Boge's again but I decided to wait.

This question has been asked a million times, but is Bogegate finally over? Anyone?

I don't know what boges were like back in the day so I don't know what to compare them to except for the smoktechs I have been using since the beginning of November when I started vaping again. I have not had these a whole day yet and they are way nicer than the smoks I was using. The vape is better the taste is better. I guess a couple of days need to go by before I make a better review of them but so far so good. I will update this post in a couple of days and let you know. I will tell you though that if these stay the way they are now I won't be buying smoktech carts ever again.

Thanks for the info. Can I ask where you bought your Boge's?

Thanks for the info. Can I ask where you bought your Boge's?

Bought them from VaporKings. They have a local store here. I bought a couple smaller glass tanks from IBTanked then realized all my cartos were XL's, lol. So far I single punched one of them and realized it was drying out really quickly. The hole was plenty big, I was even getting the little bubbles but, I often chain vape. I then proceeded to fill another tank and double punched that one. So for my setup and vape style I need to double punch these to keep them moist enough. What ever the filler material is in these it is a lot thinner than the Smoktech ones I was using. That's not a bad thing because I'm getting more vapor and a better flavor. I just need to keep them moist and I think that cured my problem. I think a lot of people having issues with funny taste and what not has to do with that same issue. As the cart would dry out, and it happened quickly, I would get a funny taste. Not a burnt taste but I could tell it was a dry kind of taste as I have been vaping this liquid for a while. I unscrewed the tank and did a couple of primer pulls covering the air hole until I heard it gurgle a couple of times. Screwed it back on and I was back in business. When I burn through this tank I'm going to change that cart out and double punch that one also. I will edit this as I continue to experiment, lol. What a incredibly long winded answer to your question, lol.

This is all good info. Thanks. I bought some items from VaporKings a long time ago and it was all good quality.

FYI - when punching new tank cartos, I have a simple system. I start by punching only one hole, and only filling the tank halfway. Then I vape it for a while. If I get dry hits, the liquid is low enough to slide the carto out horizontally and punch a second hole. No two cartos are the same.

Yes please let us know how the VaporKings Boge's do in the long run.

JJ :)

Ya I should of thought of that first but I had a new tank and new carts and just got overly excited at the time, lol. VaporKings here in town always seems to have reasonable prices on stuff so if I don't have time to order something on the net first I run over there. The customer service in the store is just as good as online. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable and I always send holds over there because I know they know what they are talking about and will treat people right. Moving right along. Seems that the second hole punched did the trick in this cargo also. I did it a couple of hours ago and its running flawlessly so far. I have a full day at work today so I will update again later but everything looks good so far. Flavor is great, vapor is great, should be a wonderful day:D

Last update on this unless something traumatic happens. Everything is smooth still. Good flavor, good vape, and everything is running great. I would recommend these and wouldn't be unhappy if some one told me to pick them up and I spent my money on them, actually I did.

Not that this matters but I'm using LR 2.0ohm standards. They have been registering on my Provari at 2.1ohm

I don't know if you use xls or not but Boge has punched xl cartos now. I got my first ones from Vaporheads and then a large supply from a co-op here on ECF. I've been using them exclusively for 4 months with no problems.

I have not even been getting that long out of my Boges lately, maybe 1/2 a day. The worst part about it is that I end up wasting my precious juice in the defective carto..

Might want to try some others and just fill them and not stick them in your tank until you can tell whether or not the others are bad.

I'm the same, opposite side of one another. I use the "condom" method to prefill mine, then punch it use a saddle valve, then drop it in the tank, then fill. I used to punch them, stick them in the tank, then draw fill them. Some times I would flood them that way. Never flooded one yet using the condom method. Try this its almost flawless. Love Nick he has been making videos since back in 2009 when I first attempted vaping. It was sooo much different then.

I'm on day 3. Same carto, still vaping good, flavor is great. I have run 4 tanks through this cart and it's still performing well. I used to see my Smoktechs start dipping significantly at this point but this Boge is holding tough. So far I have been happy with these so far.

Update - 4 tanks of about 3ml is all these could do. Its got really poppy later in the day. Lots of harshness although the flavors was still tolerable, enough so that I could finish the tank. Unfortunately for these Boges I received another type of cartos that I ordered earlier in the week. Filled that thing up and slapped that thing in there, absolutely perfect. Just ordered some more after the first 5 drags. Ikenvape 510 Mega Platinums. Wow, just wow. Glad I didn't buy a horde of these Boges because they are going to collect dust. If you have read anything about them, believe the hype.
