I received my new Revolver Vgo (a re branded JSB?) last saturday, because i decided I needed something more than my elite.. so I've had my Vgo a bit less than one week. At first I couldnt get the atomizer to work but after my boyfriend toyed around with it a little it started working its magic. Worked veryy well for about three days, and then I started getting this horrific taste, which i guess would be "burnt taste", and it was producing much less vapor. I tried adding flavor and such, to no avail. I searched these forums and saw the whole "run it under hot water and blow" thing, so I did that. The burnt taste is gone, which I'm glad for.. but still very VERY little vapor production, and i'm not really getting any flavor out of it at all.

I ordered another atomizer just in case this one is truly deceased, but is there anything else I can try?
Does it sound like it can be revived?

It sounds like you might not have let it dry out enough after you rinsed it. I doubt that it really hurt anything. When I clean my atties, I soak them for about 15 minutes in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and let them dry out overnight. The alcohol evaporates completely and doesn't leave a smell or a taste. It works like a charm.

That's it exactly it! It's water and not e-liquid. Atomizers aren't designed to vaporize water and that's why an atty that's still wet with water won't produce much vapor.

There's a very specific way to do a dry burn and it can take a few minutes or more to complete. If you aren't careful when you do it, you can ruin an atty. You should only hold down the button for a few seconds at a time and let it cool off a few seconds in between. Once you see the coil start to turn orange, you should only do a few more cycles. Overly hot, dry atomizers won't last long.

I have around 20 atomizers that I rotate, so I can let them dry overnight after I clean them. I only clean them about every week or so and I never do dry burns.

You may want to get yourself some more attys. I personally have had the most luck with boge cartos, for flavor and vapor. Its a more expensive than using a well maintained atty, but for now I will pick the one that gives me the most enjoyment. If you are using the cartridges that it came with, make sure you are not flooding the atty. the way you will know if it is flooded is if it gurgles, or if when you blow it out into a paper towel lots of juice comes out of your atty (blow it out without the cartidge on there)

Also after you clean it with hot water or alcohol, be sure to blow them out real good until no more comes out on the paper towel.

0mAh battery, and im not sure about the atty.. i hadnt heard of ohms before coming to this forum haha. it's silly, i thought i knew a decent amount about my ecig until i got here and i am learning so much. ill go check revolvers website and see if it says.

the description just says "1 (ONE) Black Gloss standard atomizer for the 510 Gemini."

if its standard then it's not an LR (low resistance atomizer 2.0 or less) and according to other threads that would likely be the same as Standard joye atomizers are at 2.2-2.3 ohms from the factory now but it could be 3.0 i suppose not sure whatt a "gemini really is

that said i wouldn't worry about the ohms and all that at such an early stage. Buy a 3 pack of standard atomizers from a reputable vendor...no matter who makes em they all eventually break, degrade etc. my own luck with almost every cleaning method on here has been they rarely get back to where they started--i keep a bunch of dirt ones on hand in case i run low again due to a bad batch or box etc.

one thing i think is that the flavor/manufacturer /mixer of the juice & the vaping style is almost as important as the manufacturer /type. some people sip gently and use light tobacco menthol /fruit flavors and go weeks or even months with out problems. long repeated drags that heat up the atomizer--not so good for long life. Try some clove, cinnamon, heavy cocoa and bam atomizer fades in days if not hours. lately i separate my attys. Keep one known quality brand name atomizer for light non-suspect juices and use cheaper attys for testing out dark and suspect flavors that tend to gunk things up. i clean the attys in non-destructive easy ways (wet burns with no nic juice, vodka and water rinse) that gives em a bit more life. but i see them as disposable and in fact they last just about 2-3 times what a disposable cartomizer costs and last about 2-3 times as long

no surprise the manufacturers are in this to make money and of course they make something that has to be replaced and costs money.
