I ordered two new atomizers for my 901 a couple of weeks ago and I can't get them to work. They get warm so I believe the coil is functioning but all I get is the burnt taste which tells me they are dry.
But, when I opened them, I dripped a couple of drops and installed a fresh cart. Then I let them sit for a few minutes to sort of soak in.
Still got the burnt taste. So.. I dripped in another drop and let them sit longer.
Same burnt taste.
I didn't want to keep drawing on them for fear of burning up the little pad inside if they're truly dry.
Is there a trick to starting off a new atomizer?

new atomizers should work flawlessly, if they're knackered before you start , they wont get any better.
My suggestion is contact the supplier and return for refund or exchange.

coustanis, this happens with both new atomizers? I would understand if 1 had an issue, but both at the same time seems kind of odd...

Like Apostle said, there really is not trick or break in for new atomizers. They should work from the start.

I'm pretty sure you got your atomizers from me. PM me your Order # and I will put a couple new ones in the mail for you. I will test both thoroughly before sending them to make sure they are up to par.

Hi Cash,
I did get them from you but I didn't want to say so here. You are great to deal with and your CS is excellent. I didn't want to post something that might be perceived as bad press because you don't deserve that.

I do believe you test them before sending them out and I think the odds of getting two DOA atomizers is slim to none. That's why I just figured I was doing something wrong, being the e-cig newby that I am.

I'll email you that order number and thank you.

No problem bud. I don't mind if you post your issues here to see if people can help resolve. DOA means Completely dead to the point the atomizer won't even warm up. You get no vapor, no taste, no nothing ...

It sounds to me like the atomizers may be burning fiber or fiber may have gotten caught under the steel wool arch. OR the Random fact that both atomizers went through a random cleaning session at the same time ...

LOL

Actually, I have found that sometimes an atomizer which starts out poorly, producing thin wispy vapor, can kind of break in after a few hours of use, and produce better drags.

I could understand that but these produce no vapor at all, just that good old burnt fiber taste. Even after several draws. I don't want to keep drawing on them and possibly burn them up.

Anyway, Cash said he'll send me a couple replacements. I'd like to know if I killed them or not so I don't do it to the next pair.
