Ok, just did some testing with the meter, and I think I found the problem. With the Infinity wheel all the way to the left (while looking at the pv) meter reads 7.23 v , wheel in middle at white mark meter reads 7.24 v, meter all the way to the right 7.23 v.
Tested my Ego batteries first to make sure I knew what I was doing, they read: pink one = 3.9, black one 3.8.
I'll send Mike an email after dinner and let him know.

I sent an email to Mike, I'm sure he will get it sorted. I'm wondering if this problem is related to the problem I had when it first arrived, it wouldn't shut off. So I guess my Infinity will be taking another trip to the west coast.

That's just what I was thinking last night when I ask you if you metered it. Because from what you were saying no matter where you put the dial it burnt your stuff.
Whew I'm so relieved you found the problem. Just get one of those slips and send her in for a fix. It has to be bypassing the potentiometer and running at full bore no matter what setting.

<Nods> yep, the volt meter will now be my friend lol. I'm going to have to get a nice little one, or smaller than the one my hubby has. As I said before, I am wondering if the issue I had when it arrived is related, I've only had it about a month. I thought at first it was me, and maybe just getting used to the vv. BUT on a positive note, the atomizers and cartomizers I was using (mostly IKV) held up at that high voltage, they got hot, I'd put them aside, I only blew one. On a more comical note, I could not figure out how people vaped with it turned up.. due to it making the equipment kind of warm I mainly used it turned down (unaware it didn't make a difference), heh pretty cool, I was vapin at 7 v <proud look> and liking it lol
Thank you all for your support and advice, I really appreciate you.

That volt meter Mike carries is pretty slick because it just screws on but it's only good for the PVs, you can't check cartos or attys with it but I use mine all the time.

That voltmeter does look cool. I couldn't really justify buying it to myself, I have a couple of multi-meters and I can check stuff fine, and I have spent WAY too much money on vaping supplies and equipment, lol.

I think if someone sold a voltmeter like the one Mike has that could check the PV battery source and check voltage with the atomizer attached (voltage under load), and I realize load isn't really a factor in a regulated PV, I think they would sell a boatload of them. Hmmm, actually, I could make them pretty easily if I could source the meter portion cheap enough.

LOL thanks Bovinia. Sometimes it helps to have a sense of humor. You should have seen me trying to hold the probes to the multi meter and balance the Infinity so I could hit the button, in hind sight, I suppose I could have found an easier way but I was really comfy on the couch after work (ok lazy may be a better description). Even my husband gave me an odd look and asked, ya need a hand with that? I like that meter Wharf Rat posted, I saw that browsing one of the sites and almost got one, I may have to check it out again.
