Im new to vaping but i started out with a eVic VT. You get a nickel and a titanium coil, my question do i need new atomizer coils or is my whole thing shot? My pen fires but second later it says protection and wont fire(this is all under temp/fahrenheit) but when i switch to watts it kicks out smoke but it taste burnt and this is all with the nickel coiling. When i then put on my titanium one it tasted horribly burnt way worse than the other. My friends did have the temp cranked up to max(600 F) but we used it alot but on lower settings(430 F). PLEASE HElP dont want to buy another 120$ pen.

Sounds like the atty is fried. Try changing it and starting at a lower wattage and working your way up. Usually it's not the battery but rather the atty from what you've described if it's still kicking out vapor. Once you get that burnt taste it's hard to get rid of and you definitely need to change the atty even in a normal type situation.
Ya when i take the mouth peice off it was kicking up. I think its because It switched to watts and i didn't know how to switch it back so i just let it run on watts for a bit and everything i saw with the nickel and titanium attys they'll heat up really easy and burn. So with a combo of high initial heat and switching to watts accidentally messed it up.
I don't know what settings you're using so hard to say. I'm curious as to it's settings. With Ti wire, you have to run lower temp settings than Nickel, unless the mod gives you a setting for Ti?
