Not really sure this is for the new user's forum, but I have to post five times here before posting elsewhere?

Anyhow, using egoC batteries, even bought two new ones to make sure it wasn't the battery, it's not.

Cannot seem to get more than about a day and a half from any atomizer.
Is that normal? People say one atomizer lasts them a week or more.

I've been through many different brands, am I missing something?
It's not that they start making the liquid taste burnt, they stop working completely.
Each of the below I tried at least ten of the same type, all the same behavior.

Started with these, Kanger T2, these are the only ones that seemed to last.
Can't find them anymore.

Vision EgO V3 DUAL Coil - day --> day and a half, then dead
Kanger Evod - day --> day and a half, then dead
innokin iClear16 - day --> day and a half, then dead

Am I cursed?

Thanks

You mentioned they stopped working as in..... ? more description needed.
I assume that you meant that there are no longer any batteries and only Kanger T2 make it last?
Do you know the ohm ratings of those coils in those tanks? Diff ohm ratings produced different power which could leads battery drained.

If you are talking about the juice finishing in less than 2 days :-
I strongly doubt any can last for a week. Each of those tanks that you mentioned can fill 1.5 - 3ml of juice. Those I can finish 5ml in half a day if I am chain vaping. It actually depends on how much you vaped on it.

This is the reason that I'm not a fan of clearomizers. :glare:

Some tips which might help:

  • Adjust your draw technique. This is not smoking a cigarette, vaping requires a different draw technique. Clearomizers all use a tiny string of a wick to bring juice to tiny little coils. A moderate to heavy vaping technique can bring too much juice through the coils and oversaturate them. The excess juice which the coils can not vaporize has no where to go but stay in the air chamber. Here it can cause gurgling, juice into the mouth, restrict the airflow, or juice on the top of the battery. Use a longer, gentler draw to prevent this.

  • Remove your tank from the battery. Blow out any excess juice from the air chamber from the bottom of the tank into a paper towel.

  • For the bottom coil tanks: Remove the coil head from the base. Use a paper towel to absorb the juice that's around the coil head; you're attempting to get rid of excess juice in the wick (inside the two little holes). Reassemble and add more juice to the tank.

  • The top coiled clearos (iClear 16) may need to be occassionally tipped horizontally when the juice level falls to keep the top portions of the wick from going dry.

  • When assembling the replacement coils into the base, make sure o-rings are in the proper place/position or not missing. Make sure the coil head is finger tight when you reassemble it.

  • If the battery fire button blinks, and you know the battery still has a good charge, it means there is a short in the coil. This cannot be fixed and the coil will need to be replaced.

Huh. I've been using atty's for years now, some with better performance than others, however I recommend maybe switching up the brand. The vape shop by my house now sells Aspire (bdc) attys and batteries and they are some of the best "ego style" I've used. The battery lasts for a solid day + at full strength, and the attys last for at least two weeks.

Thanks for the reply.

The atomizer completely stops working, the batteries are good. After about a day to a day and a half, the atomizers just die. When you push the button on the battery, nothing. So every day and a half I change to a new atomizer. It's been the same with all the ones I've tried, they were all 1.8 ohm.
The exception seemed to be the Kanger T2, which seemed to last, but I guess these are an older model, as I can't find them anymore.

I ran into this problem about a week ago, turns out that the ohm's in my coil I bought were really low. It was a 1.5, lasted me about 2-3 days before giving up. What i'm trying to get at is that maybe the voltage in your battery is too high for the coils and they burn out really fast. What are the ohm's in your coils?

All the atomizers were 1.8 ohm, looks like Ego-C batteries are 3.3 volt. Is that too high?

I use Kanger Protank 2s with adjustable air flow bases. Coil life is about 2 months & I am a heavy vaper. I drill out the air inlet holes, all the way to the center of the base, with a 3/32" bit. Then I drill the little air inlet in the bottom of the coil the same way. the little piece pulls right out but be carefull not to pull the rubber gromet out with it because it holds the coil wires in place. With the original base the air inlet is in the threads that go to the battery. Remove the coil from the base & drill it out. If you don't have a 3/32 bit a 1/16 will help. Then do the coil. That's the only difference in my coils lasting for 2 months, or longer, and the ones that last a couple days or weeks that I'm aware of. More air flow means a better air/fuel ratio and better cooling.

I checked out the aspire, two weeks from one atomizer would be a great improvement over one day

My guess is that the coil is fine but you're not getting the connection properly. I have an MVP and sometimes it doesn't read the resistance on EVODs but always works with T2.

Try getting the bottom pin a bit unscrewed and see if it works.

i didn't have much luck with the atomizers on my evods or aerotank mini lasting the advertised week to 2 weeks either. they'd sometimes last 2-3, occasionally 4 days before needing replacement. i don't have an answer for you as I just gave up and went the way of rebuildable tank & dripper. rebuilding/wicking coils is not as daunting a task as you may think and a lot cheaper than buying replacement coils.

I had a similar experience with these style units. I think it really depends on how much it is used. Do you vape it constantly, Do you take long drags, etc etc...
I just went to the rebuildable tanks like the kayfun series or my drippers. These are easier as I can generally just put some more wick(cotton) in and use same coil for a few days...

how's your googling going? :)

rebuildable tanks just mean that instead of tossing them in the trash when they go bad, you rebuild them using a new coil (wire which you twist yourself) and a new wick (i use cotton as well). you can rebuild *some* of the kanger units but I found them very small and tough to work on. a kayfun style rebuiltable tank is a very popular unit and easy to 'rebuild'.
