mmhh, for me the NPS is more something like a toy. instead of squonking, i have to fiddle around with the NPS. the draw changes after some time, i play with the rubber cap, it leaks... but yeah, i don't have to squonk anymore and already miss it  (right now i run it with a Cisco LR 510)

what confused me a bit, is , that Mikkos, member of the italian forum and certainly NPS related, told me (it really was hard for me to understand his italian...) ok Mikki told me i also could replace the NPS-bottle (the one with the rooster tail for air) by an original Reo bottle, and then - without the o-ring in the cap - regulate the airflow by screwing the bottle more or less tight. i tried this, but it wasn't a real breakthrough.

i also tried a drip shield (with a 510-510 adapter) instead of the rubber cap, but it wasn't a real breakthrough.

what i haven't tried: simply with another atty, hehehe... and maybe give the feeding tube a hot wash

anyway, this is the part you can put beside, according to Mikkos:

or here it is installed:

so after a first impression with the NPS, i think it is an interesting simple concept to an issue that is often subject here in the Reonautitribe.

@ zanza: do you have your mini now?
@ Cry79: nice video :)

keep on tryin'

now my friends, first of all i thought inbetween this is a new thread, dedicated to the NPS lukkos - so i am totally internet blind? excuses for ot-ing...

to make this short: i cooked the feeding tube (the one inside the liquid bottle) for 5 minutes in hot water and now everything's fine. i simply adjust the airflow with a slight turn of the atty...

Yeah, Ive pretty much given up on attys. Ive tried all the top ones mentioned here as well as the cheap attys. One thing I HATE about all of them is they all tighten up after a few days, then once you clean them they are never as good as new. Another thing I dont read about much is the "Auto-Flooding". Every atty I have auto-floods if I go from a cool place to a hot place.

The extra little bit of flavor I get from attys is simply not worth the extra money, time, frustration, wasted juice, flooding, maintenance. Its just not worth it.

Edit: I will add that this thread informed me of the existence of 1.7 cartos. So far Ive used them exclusively on my 3.7v Grand. It pretty much makes my Kick useless!

Been using the smoktech 1.7s on my mini for months. A wonderful vape.

But I am going to pick up a VV Grand when they come out. Boosting the voltage to 4.4 like on my ProVari, but having the form and function of a Reo will be incredible.

i am a fan of smoktek cartos. in all ohm values. as i recommended earlier, the 1.25ohm carto is a nice hitter, also the ReJuvenator is fine. actually i wonder what is the difference between smokteK and smokteCH ????

but back to the attys, sensible beasts they are indeed. here i have to come back to the NPS. this device is something to play with, for sure. to fumble. but once it's adjusted, it can deliver you a really long series up to ten minutes or even more (equal 30-40 draws) of equally rich and satisfying draws, as i never experienced before by squonking. now draw is neither flooded nor to dry. and an equally nice sound (gurgle) of the atty :)

and then the NPS gives up, and you have to start fumble again, it's recommended to have enough pocket tissues with you, e.g. on a long walk with a mentally challenged dog LOL

Sure I have it :)

NPS Lukkos kit rules indeed....
I'm not squonking since a week and it's just perfect. Since then I've quite set aside all of my other PVs except the Mini NPS

Ok.... so after a bit of testing and playing around....Here is wht I did.

ANd sorry but its still not a Genisis, but almost as good.

I took a boge carto, and a CE2
1)Cut the carto off 8 - 9mm above the flansh at the bottom, so that Iyou can use the 510 connector and wires inside the carto.
2)Push out all the stuffing out of the carto, be carefull not to pull out the wires.
3)SO now you have a base to build the new coil and wick on.
4)Using 100% cotton string fold it 3 times horizontily on a pin/straightened paper clip, and wrap 5 coils of 32 ga Kantral wire around the string and pin, for around 2 ohms of resistance, leaving the starting and end pieces of the string about 3 cm long, to aid wicking of the juice.
5)Now connect the pos and neg wires to your coil, making sure your connections will not come loos, wrap them tight, and stick the ends of the string into the cup of the carto for juice collection.
6)Take the CE2 and pull it off its connector, ream the bottom inside of the plasitc tubing with a dremmet tool so that it fit snugly offer the carto.
7)Now you have a steam machine, rebuildeble atty, that doesent leak, and hits every time in 6 easy steps.

You can use the same princaples to make a genisis type of atty, roling the mesh and sticking it inside the carto's centre post, but I get wicking problems that I will sort out later.

Enjoy, and let me know how it worked for you.

Ps if the mods want to move this, you are welcome, and sorry I didnt take pics.
