I'm looking at getting a bigger tank and I think I may have to go with the pro tank II if for nothing else the cost and availability of the atomizers. I was looking at the vivi, iclear and some others and all of them have a more expensive atomizer, some are double the cost. Even the protank III is a dollar more than the II on the atomizer.

Do these more expensive atomizers last longer? Do the perform better? Why do they cost so much more? As far as the B&M store around here, which is pretty limited, they all seem to carry the protank II atomizer but it is hit or miss for what others they carry.

I was seriously considering the vivi and iclear tanks to replace my Evod but at this point eventho I think $20.00 is way overpriced for it I don't think I can get any other tank than a protank I or II if I want cheap atomizers that are easy to find in B&M stores. Unless these atomizers that are double the cost last twice as long it seems like I'm just throwing money away. I'm kind of just going by taste and I've heard a couple of weeks but I'm not even entirely sure how often I need to replace them? Thoughts?

looks like you are comparing prices across b&m's which will always have a increased price. We have a ton here that all price gouge way beyond the standard pricing that many b&m's have reported to have. I use them as a emergency case type basis and buy most of my gear online. while im all for helping local business's but im not paying triple the price to have it a few days sooner.

The Pro tanks are awesome because they give you the option to rebuild your atomizers once you get the hang of rebuilding coils. It's fairly easy if you watch rip trippers vids on pro tanks. My best bet for kanger tanks would be The PT2 with the Aerobase or the Aerotank and rebuilding single coils instead of the dual coil.

Vivi Nova is old tech. Not a patch on Innokin iClear i.m.o.

What are you interested in... purchase costs or running costs?

The cheapest way to "do" atomizers is to buy a Protank-type and re-build the head yourself with wick and wire.

If you just buy replacements (mainly, like me) then Kanger is not as cheap as Innokin, as the heads don't last as long.

I have some expensive atomisers which need changing (rebuilding) rarely...

There are many questions in your post. If you buy a Protank for $0, it's still going to cost $80 a year for the heads if you choose to buy.

If you buy a $50 Kayfun/Taifun clone, it'll cost $20 a year to rebuild.

I use both types. For quality of vape, nothing beats a proper atomizer. (NOTHING). But, I can't take something like this into the office.

Kanger heads are poor. Kanger BCCs tend to leak. I would prefer to take my chances on a desert island with an iClear30S

Ultimately any RBA can be virtually free to rebuild. 10-20' of wire can cost as much as $2 on ebay, and then it's a matter of wicking, and if you use cotton or even SS mesh the cost is between whopping $2-4. I'd imagine these supplies to last for months as opposed to just a couple of heads you'd buy with the same amount of money.

Those clearomizers are simple and convenient, but at a price you pay the companies to build your coils for you.
