Does anyone know the reasoning behind what Atomizers are so much more expensive then cartomizers?? I was just sitting here bored and wondering LOL

Also feel free to state which you prefer....

I am a Atty girl I've tried carto's a few times but I always go back to my LR 306's. I've been vaping for almost 3 years.

Thanks All :D

I know that cartomizers were meant to be more disposable, ie: refill a few times and toss, the coils weren't built to last as long as an atomizer but is that still true today??? How long are people getting out of their cartomizers if they are a heavy vaper -- I vape 15+ a day - and usually go thru a LR 306 Atty in a few weeks

I prefer cartos but also use attys for dripping, a quick change of pace or checking out new flavors.

Yes cartos are still marketed as disposable which probably has a lot to do with the cost and on average don't last as long although the filler usually stops up before the coil goes. I use the CE2 clearos which last me a long time. I've gotten 4 months out of a few. They are very durable, no filler to clog an are as easy or easier to clean with a dry burn than a atty.

I prefer atomizers but have been using cartos for the price and not having to drip so much. A Cisco atty lasts me about 3-4 weeks and a boge carto lasts 2-3 weeks. I have not lost many coils in the cartos, they just get gunky. I am not a strong believer in cleaning cartos because once it is gunked it's never the same for me.

I vape 3-4ml a day on my Darwin around 10 watts

I'm starting to hate cartos. I am new enough that there might be issues with my technique.
I hate cartos. I can never seem to get them or keep them 'full'. I'm always fiddling and topping them off.
The only exception has been CCV Ressurectors, but I ran out of them.
I've been vaping a 306 atty for a couple weeks almost exclusively. It works, it works right, and it always works right.
Did I mention it works? Lol.

I'm a confirmed atty guy at this stage. Bought a Reo Mini off the classies just for that reason. Now if I can keep the mrs from confiscating it.....

But I personally prefer cartomizers.

I prefer cartos but also use attys for dripping, a quick change of pace or checking out new flavors.

^^^ I started with the standard cartridge that came with my eGo (I don't have to tell you what happened there)... quickly migrated to a attomizer (like said above, good for dripping and trying new flavors but I've found what I like and can't be concerned with topping off constantly)... then came the cartos and my sweet spot was located. Once I found a technique for filling the cartos that was quick, not messy, and allowed me to vape for hours I was hooked.

I use the boge 2.0 lr's exclusively. Nothing I've tried so far performs like them. I've found that they work best with the clear thinner juices so that's typically what I buy to put in them. I love the sizzle they make... like bacon in the pan in the a.m.

Next... I'll be grabbing a tank for my Switchback. As I've said, anything that not messy, peforms well, and keeps me from having to constantly fiddle with my drip tip to top off is a win.

Without cleaning/washing etc, atty's are designed to last for good solid month of use. With care and rotation they last for months. The window is closing. I have clear cartomizers that last and cost me more than my atomizers now! A five pack of cartomizers used to be equivelent to 2-3 weeks of use for me if I was stretching their life out so they actually seemed o be more expensive to me.

Attys are harder to make and require materials which are more durable.

I've been trying for over fifteen minutes to write why/how in an easy to understand way, but it defeats me. If you really need to know, take a carto and an atty to a friend or relative who understands machining and/or manufacturing (and who isn't an engineer) and have them point out the differences in what it takes to make them.

Sorry I can't be of more help. :(

You really need to get a tank system, that has changed my vaping experience! Liquinator tank is fantastic and works well with the LR cartos!

    ^^ what he said!
The carto tank has eliminated the fill/refill problems, and it's amazing how long a carto can last in a tank.
I use J-tanks because they are made locally, but all of the better tanks are pretty much the same.
