Attaching NR wire to Kanthal?

Hey all. After burning my rubber grommets on the negative coil end on a kanger protank coil rebuild I've been told that using non resistance wire (nickel) as the positive and negative leads of the coil will prevent this from occurring. My only question is, how am I supposed to attach the nickel wire to the kanthal? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wire welder.

Or twist them.

Awesome! Thank you so much for posting the video! I just order 25' of nickel wire so if it delivers by the weekend I'll try the twist method. If that becomes too problematic then I'm sure I'll pursue the wire welder route.
