Thanks for sharing! I will have to get one.
Received my black no-logo yesterday, I love it. Only problem I had with it was the bottom screw was on WAYY too tight and it took me a while to figure out how to get it off, ended up using a eyeglass repair screwdriver and a pair of pliers lol. was really worried about stripping it or something. So far so good though. On rip trippers review he was saying a big con of it was how when it goes into sleep mode you have to press the button and wait a few seconds before you can fire it but mine fires right up no problems. I'm kind of wondering if the one I got from A to Z vapor world labeled as a 'genome 30' is not from cloupor and actually from a different manufacturer. I doubt it though.
I am kind of iffy on the built in charger though.. I just don't trust it. I really don't want to keep having to take the battery out and charging it on my regular charger.. so if anyone can comment on how well the built in one works that'd ease my mind a little lol. I've also heard that it's a bad idea to screw and unscrew it a lot because it will destroy the threading..
Agreed, and i think that will drop the prices even more on these DNA clones , i wouldn't be surprised if you can get them well under $50.00 in the future .
I also think someone will end up just selling the enclosure , not paying $50.00+ for a small aluminum box when i don't want the whole package.
im sure there is a way to flash the ship the same way people jtag. if you wanna screw around with that haha.
agreed and also made the purchases feeling as the same as Retird (could gut the box and build with known quality parts if need be).
my major issue is that cloupor seems to be pumping these out without 100% testing the shorted atty safety feature with a known resistance.
i was very nervous because of a few cases where the canas circuit board failed and lead to a fire. this lead me to physically test my 2 canas to be sure the shorted atty safety feature was indeed functioning. what i found was a little disheartening, i used an rda with a short section of #24 guage A1 with a resistance of 0.24 ohms (tested with a known high quality and accurate multimeter). i removed the back cover and made sure i could quickly remove the battery if needed.
my black cana displayed shorted atty and did not fire.
my orange cana displayed a resistance of 0.3 and indeed did fire. i shortened the length of A1 and tested again at 0.18 ohms which now
showed shorted atty and did not fire.
please guys if you have the capability of safely testing the shorted atty feature do it. i for one will not run any atty below 0.8 ohms on these because of the inaccurate resistance measurement variance.

Actually you can get the DNA 30 and DNA 20 clones from fasttech. $27.00 HANA MODZ Pack DNA 30 VW Modules - 7-30W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping and neither is near $50 really but more like $27.
Using the chips from the ones FT sells....
Yep, Toronto. It went from BUFFALO to ROCHESTER, to NEW YORK, to JAMAICA, and now it's back to NEW YORK.
Definitely the scenic route![]()
I wouldn't doubt the data on the chip has been "fused" only way I know to bypass is deleting all the data...
isn't that what flashing entails though?
Well, yes. But, the goal is to fix the existing code, not write one from scratch. And in order to read the code you would need to bypass the fuse. Think of it like DRM.

That may not be quite the long scenic route that it seems to imply - there is a post office atYep, Toronto. It went from BUFFALO to ROCHESTER, to NEW YORK, to JAMAICA, and now it's back to NEW YORK.
