70 watts? Yikes!

For the sub-ohm group..... been following this Canadian made mod for months now.... looks like it is almost ready for release.... alot of beta testing and tweeking has been done to this point.....They have been working on this one since January with an anticipated MSRP is $160.00 which includes free shipping.

Russian clone? Someone makes a clone of a clone? Didn't know there was a Russian clone. The things you learn on ECF.:)

What kind of battery life are you guys getting? I am running a 1.7 ohm microcoil on a Russian clone at between 16 and 22 watts and getting about 6 hours of vaping out of it.

Don't know if they designed the chipset...I've not seen their chipset in the wild (not to say it's not out there)... but you can scroll down in their facebook and see pictures of the chipset and build quality..... Thinking he designed the chipset as he talked about the huge number of hours to do the coding....

I not trying to skirt the point... maybe I'm not understanding what you are getting at....I'm just saying that using the device within the specs of the chipset whether a rba or a pre-made coil is just fine.... just because one doesn't need or want to vape at 30 watts or whatever watts does not mean the device is not for them...nor not designed for them to use....

If I still have not grasp your point just elaborate further...

The Gi2 IS designed for sub ohms. It's marketed as such. It may be used for regular pre built coils but if that's your fancy, there are FAR better options. I ran pre built coils at 4-4.2volts all the time. Worked great for some tobacco flavors. Just because you have 8.3v/30w available doesn't mean you have to use It. You may get better results but dna/clones aren't DESIGNED for rebuildables...

hmm. I really want to see someone develop an open source chip.
