that is exactly what i said a couple of days ago... this whole "sample" business is just an excuse to give them an extra week for catch up on the overwhelming orders they received and in the end couldn't deliver on time. i dont wanna sound like a jerk but, how do i put this... i cant see the people they have putting the box mod together ever having put a box mod together before this, if that makes sense. which would explain why the inside looks a jumbled mess, i just hope the soldering holds up for the long run and it was done correctly.

I don't think it's a jumbled mess. Open an authentic hana!. It looks like a damn birds nest these are pretty tidy in comparison

I've been using a milspec LED flashlight to try and illuminate the inside of the Hana's red plexi window to the point I can get a pic of the inside but can't seem to get it right to where the cam on my phone doesn't just pic up glare, however the inside of my Hana is very tidy. Just like anything hand assembled I think it all depends on which tech built it.

Sure DZ30L's are nice (I tried to get a Seahawks themed one (zombie green w/blue carbon fiber) since before the Superbowl) but there is also a big difference between making maybe 20 per month with an 8 week lead time using a stock hammond project box that is powdercoated, and trying to put out any kind of volume to supply actual demand. If I could have gotten a DZ30L I would have instead of a Hana, just because of the color scheme and 5600mah battery.

How was he proven right? Mine is perfect. I'd be interested to know what proof there is that it's a hack job. Maybe I've missed it in my 3 weeks with it.
Read through some of the hana threads,as a matter of fact check a few posts below my original post.I'm glad you got a good one.Report back in about 6 mos to a year and let us know how it's holding up.I wish you the best of luck.

The dz is nice, but don't set it beside a zna!

One of them is 182 dollars with a built in 5600 mah battery and one is 250 or 400 depending on where you buy it without a battery. I'm not stating its the best ever but for the money i don't think the you can beat it, that's if you have a month or so to wait for the finished product.

The zombie green is a little more faint then seahawks green and i am a seahawks fan russell wilson pitched for my home towns aa baseball team the gaston grizzlies i have a bobble head doll too. But i do get what you're saying about the supply and demand. Im not taking anything away from the hana or the zen or a mamu mod. I would like to have all of then but in my opinion the dz is the creme of the crop when it comes to price and battery life and quality.

I hate to be a ......... and seem like a jerk but i will put my dz up against any other dna 30 the craftsmanship is remarkable. But as far as i can see those clones look amazing!!
I will be a ......... with you and AGREE! I own a XMod from Dz and Hands down nothing could touch it. I own 3 mods from him and his work is mind blowing.
That said, these clones I also think will be very nice! For those of you who do not own or have the money for a DNA30 and are not about to wait for one to be made are not going to be disappointing. Nothing is perfect in clones but these WILL be great for the money and close as you can get and may be better in some ways just like the video shows it will read Check atomizer if shorted and not just re-start like a real DNA30...

What does this mean exactly? "Custom milled display screen with a flush fit to the outside of the box"

Not too sure what it means, but I ordered one anyways!

It means that the aluminum was milled such that the screen sits flush rather than being slightly indented (I think).

Chinglish is often difficult to decipher.

I ask Illvapes if the mass email applies to the "Logo Version." and they responded..

Re: Hana clone "With logo"

ILLVAPES Said:

Hi Phillip,

It applies to both. It is the same manufacturer, however, they only produced a limited amount of hana printed logos. You will be one of the few that get one with a logo. Please check our blog for weekly updates.

Best Regards,

For me the Assembly line photos are distressing. As a solder tech lets say I almost wish they hadn't put them up. only one of the workers has an ESD (static discharge) strap...and it's not even plugged in...and...they are working on cardboard. I guess I pictured a more professional manufacturing process...of coarse then we would be paying $150 a unit. It would have been great for them to just offer a kit. (yes I've seen the co-ops lately)
Alright...pre-judgement rant off... I hope these things turn out decent.
