I am here, because I really would like to get a mini clone. I was going get two of them in a co-op that has since abandoned the order due to shady practices of vendors and the issues surrounding the samples. I think that no one here really knows what these clones will be like. They could be great or suck rocks or just barely acceptable. I would love to see the clones perform well, but I'm not desperate and I see no reason to place an order now given all the uncertainties. I can easily wait this out and I appreciate all of you who are volunteering as guinea pigs.

As you know this thread is full of opinions, speculations, half-truths, and etc. That's all fine and good....after all I really doubt that anybody knows for sure what they will be receiving at this point. The info I have has nothing to do with whether to order or not order and has no place in this thread nor does it have any effect on what the quality of this mod will be, it goes more toward a philosophical issue.. What is special about this "clone thing" (and this thread's discussions) is that it is the first time that a new release of a China Mod was diagnosed with an issue PRIOR to it being released. Always before a new mod just came to the US and the customers found the problems. Then the vendors had to contact the manufacturers and the issue would be corrected in the Version 2,3,4,5 of the mod. This whole process playing out in this thread benefits you, the consumer, and puts China on notice to fix the flaws first, then send them over instead of the way it has been up until now....The positives and the negatives being openly discussed has been beneficial and a bit "of heated remarks" just go with the territory... no harm, no fowl....
The goal, at least for me, is to see a safe, legitimate, and decent product, fully tested in China before you get it in your hands....several years ago I saw a picture of a vaper's face after a mod blew up and changed his life forever. Safety and quality matters.

In for a penny, in for a paycheck...pulled the trigger on a blue cana mod preorder. I know, all that horsepuckey about not paying for a vendor's shipment before it arrives, WAS me.

another review by a texas vape shop called voltage vapor, what had me interested was not the review but the date he said they were being sent.... the 28th? i mean come on... is it 15th-20th or the 28th, i checked there FB and they got the exact same copy and paste letter every other vendor got on the 5th. top it off im still waiting 3 days later to hear from illvapes on a response to an email i sent
Yeah, got mine from ILL too. Seems ILL and elev8 claim they are first to be shipped because of their order size. I think vendors who ordered first will get them sooner. I doubt Clouper is going to ship to every vendor at the same time.
My guess is since ILL doesn't have an update,they didn't respond to your email.
Attack of the clones on facebook just received their second test unit and the ohms read out is good, wires have been tidied up, now shows short on the screen instead of resetting and is working great, only complaint is that it is off by.35 volts from what the display shows. Not sure how he is testing it though but I assume its just an inline meter, doubt its out by that much though. Personally I can live with this.
Speaking of random vapor shops, anyone ever hear or order from ghost vapes? In Oklahoma I believe. Have real cheap prices on those Efest 18650 3100mah 20A batteries. I emailed, they said they are authentic, ordered right from manufacturer, but there's always the too good to be true aspect and this is the first time I came across them... $8.99 a pop most places are roughly 10.99.

As many of you know, a fellow vendor was supposed to have their units shipped to them today. This unfortunately did not happen. The reason why Elev8 Vape does not give a certain date, is so that a situation like this can be avoided. There is no reason to have people mislead by a false date. This is a pre sale, and with any presale the date can fluctuate. Just know that the wait is almost over and the Modz will be shipped to us soon. We are preparing packages and invoices so that we can ship these out as fast as we can. All the units will be tested before they are shipped, this way it can avoid any DOA units.
We also apologize for the lack in updates, we've been answering many emails and phone calls lately. Please remain calm, even though that seems impossible lately. THEY ARE COMING SOON. The wait is no where near what it was when you first ordered these back in April. The moment we receive a tracking number, it will be posted here.

you know its not so much i want my unit to use right now, its more about the fact im going on a summer long road trip on june 3rd for work so there is a very small window for me to still be home to receive my unit. hell the only reason i was even confident pre ordering was because the expected date was may 5th... then all this happened and a month later... nothing
I am picturing the entire staff keeling over on shipping day at elev8vape from nic overload, testing all those units =)
However I get lumped into anything when I'm just trying to help fellow vapers make an informed decision is crap. Read my posts they are not coming from anywhere except the spreading of news that is pertinent to this thread. I don't work for a shop don't have any connections to any shop except the ones I frequent as a consumer. I love vaping and I also love for this thing of ours to be safe. The first test units were a small sample and in my mind that was enough for me to back out of a preorder and wait. I stand nothing to gain from anything I type, I just want people to know what's going on and I have access to information. I love Monday trolls.
