So while im still waiting for my black round 3 from 101vapes id like to ask for some opinions from somecof the more experienced kodders browing this thread, im going to be building my own sx350 mod I purchased a battery charging box (same as the one from the arlo via mamu tutorial) my question is will I need the 4 fuses and is the wiring going to be essentially the same with exception of firing buttons as the chip has grav sensor? I have already purchased all the parts ill be needing and should be in by months end. Any help is appreciated

As far as the fuses...they are used to prevent "run away amperage from the batteries".... size depends on max imput of the chip (ie sx350)..... one size does not fit all.....

When cleared customs is in status it is in the last stage and u can get a dutch package nr from Postnl through their twitter account

I bought the Efest 3100mah 20A batteries specifically for this MOD. 20A is well above the cutoff point of the chip and the extra 600mah will work nicely.

If they do as they say they would be good for even most mechanical mods as well....if
For me it would be how long they stay above 3.8 when used in a mechanical, the mah just about means nothing unless in a regulated mod. But I guess that's what's being said.

The charge/discharge capacity of lithium type batteries is defined by its "C" rating. You can calculate continuous amp draw from a battery by multiplying the amp hours by the C rating.

Example: 10C 2400mah = (10) * (2.4) = 24 amps continuous discharge.
10C 3000mah = (10) * (3) = 30 amps continuous discharge.
5C 2400mah = (5) * (2.4) = 12 amps continuous discharge.

Many lithium batteries also define a "burst" current rating which exceeds the continuous rating. You can easily find this information by googling the technical name/part# of the battery and add "tech spec/data sheet".

Max imput of tbe chip? Where can I find that infomation and also what are the calculations I need to figure out that will tell me the size that I would need? Should I just get a regluar project box and use a single vtc5 instead of my complicated idea? I saw the bc mod on kidney puncher and I got a little confident/jealous and I thought It would be easier than all hell. I just figured since the chip itself has onboard saftey features I might not need fuses.. can you point me towards some good reads that might help? I had read the first link and currently have asked for help in the bottom feeder post.

Th3 way I see it is the headache trying to learn how to mod my own devices is by far way more worth the headache involved in this preorder fiasco. Thanks

Anyone using theirs with an efest 3100 mah 20amp? I could use the extra 600mah compared to a vtc5 if it works eith the banana mod without issues

I ordered mine for this mod but haven't received them yet.
