Nope not yet. I'm #1688 from elev8. Just waiting and addicted to this thread. I feel like you said the other day. " I'm starting to hate reading this thing" but can't stop !

What color did you order? I'm 1686 blue. Started reading this thread to get reviews on it, now just trying to keep tabs when mine will be here. Answer has always been, not soon enough. :banghead:

I know elev8 stated they were going to change all there orders to awating shipment. My order #3148 orange states awaiting shipment. And my order #1474 red states awaiting fulfillment. I'm sure they just haven't updated it yet.

I bet its a madhouse at elev8 land. But I'm sure the owner is walking around with dollar signs in his eyes. So far it looks like they are getting it done. I wonder how long this buying extravaganza is going to last.

I'm really loving the SX chip. I'm waiting to compare the performance between the DNA clone and the SX to see if I want the SX 350 or a second DNA. From what I'm hearing the DNA is nice and I like the box better than the tube so we will see

I recommend building your own sx350 box mod. The chip is hands down better than the DNA30,IMO. now that I have a CNA30 and happy with it I might add, a sx series mod will be my next. I like box mods as well, but I think I'll be waiting for the next version of the chip whatever that may be....

Hey guys. If I were to place an order for this mod today, where would be the best place to get it? As far as speed and price goes. I know I'll be at the back of the line but I can wait.

I would think Wetvapes. I think the guy said he would have some on Monday. No wait nec.

IMR batteries can still "explode"... They are less likely to do so, but can non the less. No battery is a safe battery, only" safer"... Retird had a point in bringing this up, most batteries are failing due to improperly charging. And should NEVER charge unattended. To say battery safety is irrelevant is concerning, not everyone will experience a battery failure, so the whole "never happened to me" thing is moot. Under the right conditions very bad things can happen, I'd hope all vapers new and experienced practice good safety habits dealing with batteries....

Who said that battery safety is irrelevant?

You can disagree with what I said, but don't claim I said things I did not. I never said the whole issue was irrelevant, and I never said that IMR batteries are entirely safe, what I did say is that people are a bit TOO worried about the issue.

Let me put it this way....

How many IMR batteries have been sold since they were introduced? How many have you heard of exploding?

I'll bet if you actually do the math you'll find you're far more likely to be struck by lightning than have an IMR explode or catch fire.

I am very paranoid about exploding batteries, I guess I don't know that much about it but I've been vaping for a few years now and all my devices are regulated. I know it's not that likely but I like having the safety and battery protection features. I am craving more power though as I venture more into rebuildables. I am a light vaper though, I don't vape constantly and probably use less than 2ml a day, if that. A 18350 battery on my Evic can last me all day and I'm never far from a usb charger. How does the cana mini battery compare to that? I know vaping at high wattage drains the battery fast so most people who are heavier vapers will prefer the bigger version, but I like the size of the mini and I don't do sub ohm vaping. Mini should be plenty for me right? I might try a 1 ohm coil once I get my magma in.

I would guess your 18350 battery would be between 700 to 1200 mah or so depending on the brand, and the mini says it has 1200 mah.....

Mech mods have always been a niche market and the people who get into it are generally the type that is motivated to learn very quickly.

However...........

This thread is about the Hana Modz DNA30 clone devices which are all regulated mods, not mech mods. Your battery safety worries are mostly irrelevant in the context of this thread Part of the reason you would want a DNA clone is to add safety features

Like I said, Counterfeit AW batteries not included.

Read the last update by the admin in that very thread:

It's deep swirl marks, and in a tight spot. I have mothers and it won't take that out. I may be able to use a dremel, but might make it worse. I'm still debating with myself, I still may keep it. Works great. Still trying to find the perfect coil build for it. I'm currently using a kayfun with 28g nano coil at 1.2 ohms, I need to go higher ohms though, once I get over 13.5w the ohms will flash, so I don't think its regulating properly. I will try a higher ohm coil.

Those are milling machine marks from the end mill that was used to remove the metal. Considering you paid 1/4 - 1/3 the price of a Hanna Modz, the marks in that area quite often will be covered by a thumb or finger when the device is in use, are actually fairly small in relation to the size of the case, and the item is not a show piece that hundreds will look at - your reactions seem to way overboard.

Of course at the price these are going for on eBay you probably could recover the price you paid even noting the major catastrophe of a mark that is there.

As for the flashing ohms at 13.5 watts, I think you meant to say that the ohms flash once you get under 13.5 watts. If you want to vape at less than 4 volts with 1.2 ohms, yes you will need to use a higher ohm build. On my Kayfuns I've been fairly happy with a 1.6 ohm micro coils with cotton wick build at 10.4 watts.

Anyone who has gotten their Clouper. Is the top of the cover flush or does it over hang slightly?

Top cover - as in where the attay sits? That is part of the milled box and it is flush on all four sides. I think you mean the back cover that is removed to replace the battery. When you put the cover on it can be shifted slightly before fastening down and moved to be flush to the bottom and sides while the top joint is tight.
