I wish I could answer this, but I cannot, as I have no attys with recessed pins. all I can say is that my mod has short protection. the video I uploaded verifies this.so my trident rda has a recessed pin and i cannot adjust it as the pin just falls out....will just cause problems with the 510? or will it be fine? my clone should be here in a day or two and don't wanna fry the chip first day.

Do you know the manufacturer? Cloupor doesn't make there's in gray.
Does it have a seam across the drip well? Congrats.
@wattageous where from?

I'm not sure how much research they'd have. The chipset was done by a third party(Evolv). There is nothing extra to the mod, really. They didn't add anything like reverse battery protection which might have required a little more time. Honestly, if you look at the DNA30 version, they already had the DNA20 one out, so it's just a matter of moving to the next chip which is nearly identical to the DNA20. I'm sure they did a little drafting on where things would go in the box initially, but not a whole lot of research to be had there. The Hana mod is dirt simple.
That depends on if they really have a lot of employees. Given the slow pace with which they produce the mods, I'm not sure they have many. I'm not sure how they produce the aluminum box and color them, but one employee fitting and soldering things could probably assemble two to three per hour easily once they know what they're doing.
Guys and gals-
I've been in business (corporate retail management- electronics) for 18 years, and my privately owned and operated businesses, both product retail and service industry for 19 years. In *product* type business, a 10-12% bottom line after all expenses these days would be considered good. In service business, 15-20% would be considered very good to excellent. If you have a partner, cut that in half. I think a lot of folks are underestimating the cost of owning and operating a business these days.
pun intended? we have so many scientists on this thread. ahahaYou have to wonder how much Hana (or anybody that has had their product cloned or knocked off) is really loosing.
Every clone sold does not equal a lost Hana sale. Quite a large portion of the market would not be buying an original IF there were no clones available simply because a lot of us (myself included) aren't or cant spend 250 on a mod.
In this particular instance how many of us jumped on board because it was the first available 30w DNA style mod available at a reasonable price? Imagine how much shorter this thread would be if the new 30w Vamo came out at the same time or even a 35wSX mod at < 100 USD (they are coming).
Now dont get me wrong, I am not trying to imply Hana should not defend themselves or has done anything wrong, just adding some food for thought.
Really my eyes are on Evolv to see how they react to the VW Chinese invasion.
Will they perhaps drop chip costs (if possible) to remain competitive?
Will they introduce something new and more advanced than their current offerings and Chinese counterparts, or will they simply go extinct? (See what I did there?)
