I got 500 from ebay. 400 also works fine.

Who said its a myth? Unoxidized wicks will cause shorts and may blow your batteries. The myth is that it sucks juice faster than oxidized. But shorting out is absolutely true. Given of course that pressure between coil and wick is large enough.
ohhh i see, thank you for correcting me. how exactly do you know when the wick is perfectly oxidized vs. too oxidized or not enough?

Will do mate. Had a Vamo from them in seven days but have read some of you US guys have waited an age.
i heard that those take forever to come in for some reason. ordering car parts over seas come in quicker than the vamos lol

It's true... the top cap is not pressure fitted on the AGA-T's like in the T2's. IMO, the T2's are the best RBA's out there...
thats exactly how i feel. it just makes me wonder why others like the t2 are 150+ dollars and they are almost the same if not the same. Perhaps just a slight style difference? it doesnt seem to justify it costing 12x the cost of the t2 IMO

High end fans say its the build quality that makes say a z atty pro many times more expensive than an AGA. While im sure some of them actually mean to pay the price difference for a slightly better built unit, most of them i think are just trying to justify their money. Nobody wants to buy a $200 atty and then say its no better than a $25 one. Just human nature.

I saw the new pbusardo video and he said some high end fan reluctantly admitted that the AGA-T+ vapes better than many of their big money stuff. And Busardo owns high end stuff himself, make no mistake; hes not on a crusade to prove cheap units can perform better or anything.

As for wire: higher gauge = thinner wire = higher resistance if same length and material. Seriously boys, pay attention Physics classes.

30awg in my experience is the most versatile, and also durable enough.

The Z atty pro was one of the the exceptions that i was talking about. but others such as real cobras and DID vs. the clones, i mean yeah its a few mm shorter but that doesnt jusitify for the price. i do also recognize that some clones are twisted on vs. pressure fitted with O rings but still almost the same thing.
i love how his videos are 100% professional and covers mostly everything if not everything. I was talking to my buddy who has a bliss RBA and he told me that the t2 was damn near the same just minus the shield cover and it has more room to play with. I get the human nature part, its like spending money on a bmw when a civic can do the same and go as fast minus the "comfort" features.
I was never too attentive in physics hahaha my teacher sucked and had the most horrible accent. it was such a pain to try and catch what he was saying lol but thank you!!

I have the Z-Atty Pro and a few AGA-T2s. The best wick & coil setup determines the quality of my vapes more so than whether it's a cheap or higher-end genny.

Correct. Thats why i will only ever buy quality chinese stuff. Yes, those exist - RSST is the best example. I saw a guy putting his RSST on an iSeason, looks damn near as clean as a Hybrid. For a total of $80 or less.

Im gonna get a bunch of my mechanics + jeweler friends to make me pretty tube covers and customize my RSST and mechs. Maybe get my gem dealer friend to carve a drip tip out of a faulty piece of stone. So much cheaper, and guaranteed unique - one of a kind, no less :)

Well I got my DID in seven days, the same as my Vamo. Can't understand why it takes so long to get to you guys.

It looks well built and all the parts fit together really snug DID 039.jpg

I think I may need a thicker coil wire as I keep getting a massive hot spot from the centre post to the wick.

I dove headfirst into RBA's last week with an AGA-T2 and an A7 RDA from empiremods. I wanted to play with silica first, because I had a bunch of it on hand, and threw a horizontal "U wick" on the AGA-T2 made out of 2mm silica and a 4/3 wrap of 34 gauge kanthal A1. Gave me a rock steady resistance of 2.1, vaped like a beast, but the wick couldn't keep up after the first couple of really good blasts on it. I'll probably try a 3mm silica in it after my 30 and 32 gauge wire shows up. Tore the 2mm out of it and whipped up my first SS wick with the included stuff. Immediately blew the coil I made. Went back to the drawing board with the 34 gauge stuff i have. Tinkered with it for HOURS yesterday but finally got a solid cooking 2.0 ohm SS coil to work. I rolled the SS wick solid and am now thinking maybe a "straw" type would wick better. I get good vape from it but it still feels very airy and light unless I do several good primer puffs on it. ~shrug~

On the other hand the A7 is a beauty! I disassembled the whole thing, gave it a thorough vodka bath followed by a soapy water + clean water rinse, dried it thoroughly and gave the factory wick a shot. It's not perfect, by any means... too airy at first so I broke the tip off a round toothpick in one of the holes. That helped but now it whistles like one of my old stardust clearos... maybe worse! The center post is relatively loose and I have to basically adjust it each time before I screw it back on a battery. BUT after I tossed the OEM wick I quickly twisted up a 4/3 of that same 34 gauge kanthal around some 2mm silica and had the thing fired up in less than 10 minutes, from start to finish. As tiny as it is I can't imagine an easier device to make a perfect wick for. A rock solid 1.6 ohms! HOLY SMOKES BATMAN! This thing ROCKS! So far I can get maybe 6-8 drops of juice in it but the vapor it produces is fantastic! I want to tinker more with my AGA-T2 but so far this A7 gets way more of my attention... I simply love it. I see three or four more of these in my future, when I find them on sale somewhere. Easy to swap out juice that way.
