Thanks everyone for your speedy responses So a lot of you say tea bags and a safe straw mod . . . . Any other ideas?

Watch the video on the straw mod - if cut to the right length and use what is suggested and you put it to the side, there's no problem. There are a lot of people here that use it without incident. And above all it works - iow, instead of a 2 or 3 drop top off - you can go 6-8 and more depending how dry the cart is - I've gone into the teens with it.

I can tell you all that I just tried the PTB (pyramid tea bag) cart mod and it works like a champ! It takes in soooo much more liquid than the standard poly and it took all of about 30 seconds!

I only tried it breifly so far, but to me the vapor was about the same but the material really seems to hold in the liquid! And it appears to move through the material well enough to keep the wick wet....
I will be filling all of my carts with it I think.

What about people that take insulin? Should they stop using syringes for the children?

Oh FFS!!

Insulin is NECESSARY for survival of some people. You don't need the CONVENIENCE of your friggin syringe to top off your cart to survive.

I still have to get the pyramid tea bags and go over the proper installation but just from what I scanned the structure of the teabags within the cart allows for a vertical flow - likely better than the normal cart filler to where the cart mod would be enhanced.

I just wish I knew how much filler was proper to have in the carts. I've had no luck with carts so far. Tried the straw mod, hasn't help besides refilling.

I basically take like 7 drags and thats it. Filling still seems wet, but its not wicking to the atty. Looks all scrunched up and pushed down in the cart. Probably cause its too tight im assuming.

Sounds like you're making the wick padding too tight. Unlike the 901, the "starter drips" seem to gather in the mouthpiece for me so I avoid that altogether.

Tweezers, tea bags and coffee stirs.

The atomizer bridge needs to touch the filler material so it can wick the juice.

And in order to keep my 510 wicking enough to suit me, I use the windmill method.

That is a name for something that is talked about in this thread:
"Packing" the e-cig? I swear this works.....

And yes, it sounds freaking stupid, but it absolutely works.

But you have to be very careful, because it can work too well.
And then you have liquid coming out of the holes between atomizer and battery.
Which is why it is absolutely NOT recommended for an unsealed battery.

I think first i'll remove some filler from a new cart and see what that does. I'm just afraid there won't be enough in there and the liquid will all seep out

With any filler you will have to rinse it out eventually, and rinse the cart out while your at it. Eventually the liquid left in the filler material will get to sticky to wick.

My personal favorite is the PTB (Pyramid TeaBag) once rolled up, it retains it's round shape and leaves passages in the corners for the air to move. It's like having 4 straws. Still needs to be topped off and still takes time to wick and still needs rinsed periodically, but for hygienic reasons you would want to anyway.

One caution, the PTB has to be cut precisely, since the material is stiff and will not give when coming in contact with the atomizer bridge.

practice, practice, practice..............I always remove 1/2 to 2/3 of the stuffing and run the gravity feed.

*LMAO* They will probably announce that children with type 1 diabetes must use insulin pumps and their parents must inject the canular since it's a larger needle.. Oh and forget kids refilling printers, since we all buy the refill kits with the syringes in them..
