Many posts here have focused on the topic of recommending a ProVari to someone on a $50 budget. Please remember that their are two points in my original post. Mentioning the ProVari in threads that have nothing to do with it. When someone says, "I have found the perfect device for me." (Not a ProVari), and the next post is I would get or have gotten a ProVari. It can be annoying to the OP and other readers. I'm not saying that everybody should completely stop talking about their beloved device but just read the original post and decide whether or not bringing up the ProVari or whatever you have is relevant. This person that "found the perfect device " was excited and wanted to let everybody know. Why ruin his or her day by saying, "you should have gotten a ProVari."

we should be glad when someone has found their perfect setup! even if it is only perfect for them for a while. it would seem that a nice way to respond to that kind of thread would be "good for you", and add what your perfect vape is...without telling people to dump what they have for what YOU love!

help people find something in their budget and comfort zone while saying...."at some point you might want to look at the (provari)(reo)(gg)(etc)"

I get annoyed with all the "510s are trash" talk. they are not trash for everyone. I still use them. I chain vape, so I carry 4 510 setups in a cigarette case around with me. so I can take 10 hits in a row with ruining the atty & and I only charge once a day. feel free to send me all your hated 510 stuff

I've given it a go. a lot of us have. I keep a blog and I try to keep it going with all the info a noob could want to know. a lot of times I just give some essentials in the thread and then refer the noob to my blog if he sounds computer savy enough to find it. Its annoying when I can tell the noob might not be computer savvy though, because then I have to type out "go to my user name and click... blah blah.." there are a couple other members that keep blogs as well. kiwivap is another member i know of whom keeps a blog thats very helpful to newbs.
I've seen some of those blogs, although not the ones you just mentioned.

Anyway, I have yet to see such a blog where I don't disagree with at least a few of the recommendations.
And I have seen at least one or two such blogs where I pretty much disagree with almost the entire content.

I love the 510, but only the attys.... Its the pen style 510 batteries that are trash.... Short charge life/cant even run a LR atty due to low mah ratting, and as the charge goes down so does the vapor production... VV mods produce the same hit (vapor) every time until the battery needs to be recharged...... Just like real cigarettes do...
Hard to beat a big battery VV mod... and its even harder to beat a Provari when it comes to quality and reliablilty.... I did start a freind of mine off with a ego twist... its ok for a noob, she has allready had to order a second one since the one I got her had button issues after 6 weeks....

actually,,this whole dam thread is about one single jack-azz trying to control a certain group of people

and then all the haters gotta jump into the mix with their lack of knowledge about the provari ,,it still does not cost 200 bucks

For someone just starting out they need the kit. ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit V2. $217 on sale. That doesn't include the cost of what a person needs as far as delivery of the juice. I don't have that charger laying around. I don't have those batteries in my drawer. Yes, it does cost $200.00 when you are first starting out.

so who is wrong, you or the blogger?
And that is actually the point of this thread.
Nobody is right and nobody is wrong.
:)

Each person has different wants and needs, and therefore different setups that they will ultimately prefer.
And those wants and needs can, and often do change over time, so the setup they might prefer now they might not prefer later.

The thing that amazes me is that we can spend so much time arguing about something that doesn't even have a right answer.

well we had to come to a point and in todays culture, unfortunately, brute force arguing has replaced civilized debate and most of us are none the wiser of the change in times. today's kids especially have a sort of bubble, they are unaware of the customs of the past and yet willing to blaze a trail through the future... its been headed that way since the mid 70's lol. we're doomed to repeat history until we find a sollution to this conundrum.

love the rants about the great provari, me I just go for what I can aford to get and still have money for all the other goodies coming on the vaping market as for me ,a vision 1300 mah spinner isthe only mod I need maybe 2 so one is aways charged up, cost 50 bucks. but i also got a lambo-4 which IMO is know better than the spinner, have vaped both with same carto and the spinner out performs the lambo every time, can't see were the provari would be any different...I'll take 10 spinners for the same cost as the provari ,thats all ..

Well I can afford (and have) a Provari, so why in the world am I vaping on this silly little $50 Robust right now

There can be all sorts of reasons why a person would choose one PV over another, and believe it or not, the quality of the vape isn't the only one.

I liked my little PV's with their eGo style of button .... provided that it was in my left hand. Since there are a few bones and tendons missing from my right hand .. not so much. The lower button placement on the Provary type PV's are much easier for me to use .. it's as simple as that.

And that is great! Congratulations for finding what works for you and having the strength of character to make your own decisions. It is sad for me to read some of the posts in this thread as some people take it as a personal affront if someone else has a preference different from theirs. All we should be talking about is the fact that we're smoke free (that in itself is a MIRACLE), we live in a free country in which we can make choices, and have enough of the products we like to go around for everyone.

    Vape on!:toast:

Well, for me, it's going to be more like 6 months. My income is limited, and I keep buying juice and trying different delivery devices!

Ill bet that half if not 3/4 of all these new people posting that the provari is a waste of money will own one in 2-3 months. My:2c:

Not sure why. You should explain so someone who doesn't have a Provari can become better educated.

Because it is a handy small PV that's a great vape with a 1.7ohm carto. The big gripe with the Robust is "voltage drop off", well if you're only running it at 3.5v, how much drop off can there be .. really?
For me the button placement couldn't be any better, and it has the nicest menu system going.
